The Power Of Emotional Healing - EFT Program

“The Power of Emotional Healing” is energy psychology education in the Emotional Freedom Technique with the perfect balance of information, instructions, videos, and ready tapping scripts. Learn all the aspects of how to apply EFT for emotional and physical pain.

Tapping is becoming a primary healing resource for more and more people over the globe. Emotional Freedom Technique is in hospitals, families, psychotherapy clinics, sports fields, coaching practices, and even schools.

When people use EFT for physical problems, they are releasing the emotional memories associated with the symptom. Once those memories don’t hurt anymore, the stress response is reduced, and the body has a chance to heal.

As you gain confidence with EFT, you’ll find yourself becoming fearless when it comes to exposure. You’ll discover you don’t have to remain afraid of old traumatic memories; you have a tool that allows you to reduce their emotional intensity in minutes or even seconds. The usual pattern of running away from a problem is reversed. You feel confident running toward it, knowing that you’ll quickly feel better.

Healing is a soul searching journey

Healing is a soul searching journey that can have you try many many things to heal and ascend.

When we aren’t doing too well we go on a quest.
We go to doctors or psychiatrists, hypnotherapists, social workers, an astrologer or two.
We get philosophical, take seminars, attend trainings, tap with EFT, get our chakras balanced, try some reflexology, go for acupuncture, do iridology, get healed with lights and crystals.

We meditate, chant a mantra, drink green tea, try getting centered, learn NLP, work on visualizations, study some form of psychology, join a Jungian group. Try psychedelics, get a psychic reading, dance, have colonics, get into nutrition stop eating dairy, gluten, crystals, wear psychic jewelry. Get more insight, bio-feedback, Gestalt therapy.
We see our homeopath, chiropractor, naturopath, try kinesiology, discover our Enneagram type, get into human design, get our meridians balanced, join a consciousness-raising group, buy tuning forks, listen to binaural beats, pray, shadow work, Take a shamanic journey, join a mystery school, get into energy healing. We learn astral projection. Become a vegetarian. Try macrobiotics, go organic, eat no GMO. Meet up with a Native American medicine woman, do a sweat lodge. Try Chinese herbs, shiatsu, acupressure, feng shui.

We stare at the sun, attend womens circles, start a business or two, sing tribal chants, relive past lives, try hypnotic regression, scream a primal scream, punch pillows, get Feldenkraised, write affirmations, make a vision board, get re-birthed, read the Tarot cards, study Zen, become a coach.

We take more courses and workshops, read lots of books, get yoga lessons, get into the occult, study magic, read Nostradamus, prepare for the worst, go on a retreat, try fasting, take amino acids, get a negative ion generator, try color therapy, try subliminal recordings, get a healy, take brain enzymes, natural antidepressants, flower remedies, go to health spas.

We cook with exotic ingredients, look into strange fermented oddities from faraway places, try endless types of psychotherapy, subscribe to lots of teachers/healers on your tube, go to an ayurvedic doctor, eat just grapefruit, get our palm read, think New Age thought, improve the ecology, save the planet, get an aura reading, carry a crystal, get grounded, do prana breathing and breathe out that stagnate energy, try chakra breathing, get our aura cleaned.

You and many of your friends have tried all of the above, well that’s everything I’ve tried. Don’t get me wrong, all of those things can be helpful and can be interesting but at the end of the day, we have to take that knowledge and find the answer within ourselves!

People would say to me you have much courage to keep on searching! What drives you?

I was looking for an answer to end suffering yet Intuitively, knowing that somewhere there is an ultimate answer.

Stumbling down dark places into dead ends; getting exploited and taken advantage of, becoming disillusioned, fed up, but yet kept on trying.

Where is the blind spot? Why can’t I find the answer? Maybe I don’t understand the problem?

If we don’t understand the problem; how can we find the answer?

Maybe it’s that simple that I can’t see it. Maybe the solution is not “out there,” and that’s why I can’t find it.

We can’t find it because it’s within us!

And I believe the reason why we can’t see the obvious is because we have so many belief systems that blurs out the obvious.

So what to do?

Let go of the grip!

Understand you, and that it is important to be present with your programs, the ego is brilliant at telling us stories. It knows your every nook and cranny as its job is to uphold your belief systems to KEEP YOU ALIVE (it’s not right, wrong, good or bad). It knows all of what is hidden deep within your cells and it uses them to entice you to stay where you are as it believes that if you move forward you will die therefore it dies. The ego doesn’t know that it gets to come with you on your journey of transformation. We have to be kind to it, but master it, just like a wild animal fighting for survival, it will fight and it will attack, so it gets intense.

You must hold your power and trust that letting go is the only way.

Letting go is so simple but bloody messy and hard and honestly is much easier, kinder and gentler if you have a guide.

Hang on a minute! What am I letting go of? Everything?

Let go of stories that take your power away, beliefs that keep you small, thoughts that minimise you, control of the external, projection, trapped emotions, judgment, guilt, shame, blame. There’s nothing to fix! Just letting go of all that does not serve you or the greater good. All the untruths that’s what you let go of, all of it!
Each day making a commitment to take more space in the world, being more you, being more light and to love yourself.

IMPORTANT! All the tools and journeys you have been on are to help you access you on a deeper level and to help you process letting go. So nothing is ever wasted as it got you here where you are now, which is PERFECT!

What does rewiring your brain mean?

What does rewiring your brain mean?
Can you rewire your brain? When we first experience pain we just want to get out of that pain. We don’t think about anything deeper than the pain we are experiencing. However, after personally experiencing horrendous pain for decades I know there is much more to pain than we are being told. After researching, trials, and testing I discovered that when we experience high-intensity emotions for a longer period of time, we do not only program our body to experience the same thing over and over and so become addicted to the chemicals that are being produced by our body, but we also rewire our brains to only focus on that experience.

When I discovered that I had wired my brain to only see, perceive and feel pain, I realised that I had found the missing piece of why it was so very difficult to get out of health issues.

So, what I mean by rewiring your brain, is not as scary as it sounds.

When our thoughts, beliefs, and actions have aligned to pain, we start to consult the pain on every decision we make. For instance, the level of pain we experience decides whether we can go to the shops, do the housework, or go out to dinner, etc.

When you are experiencing this in your life, you have wired your brain to pain. Now, the long-term solution to breaking this is to rewire the brain to be aligned with a healthier you. This could look like: “I am becoming healthier and stronger and I can do more things than I believe now, I just have to find what they are. And then I can start to open up my world to the possibility of a life without pain.”

All that is needed are these 3 steps to align yourself and rewire your brain to a healthier you:

  • Awareness – Do I consult my pain? Is pain the predominant thought in my mind? When will it end? Why is my pain so bad? Will I ever get out of pain?

  • Attention – Pay attention to yourself and what you say and begin to notice how much of you is controlled by your pain.

  • Intention – Set the intention that you will begin to see an alternative perspective.

We can help you in this process by showing you how to be fully aware of all the possible programs that you are running. We assist you with highly effective tools that can help you to pay attention effectively and get the wisdom of how to move beyond that program that is of a disservice. The intention process can be challenging to do on your own as it is about balance. When you set the bar of intention too high your mind will not comply. When you set it too low, the momentum will be too slow. It is a fine art to master, but once you do, your life will never be the same again.

Here are some stories of clients who have mastered the skill of brain rewiring
Erika was housebound and completely dependent on her parents, at the age of 25, all due to being totally consumed by pain and suffering. She wasn’t able to see or even imagine a life outside that for herself. All the things that most of us take for granted, like a job, being able to leave the house, study, be in a relationship, start a family seemed impossible for her. After using the NAM, Erika now has completed her BARS exam, has purchased a property, is in a loving relationship, and is clearly seeing that a life without pain is not only possible, but she is actually already living it.

Andrew was severely impacted by chronic fatigue, where his body would break out in rashes. He couldn’t sleep, all of his life was about working, eating, and sleeping. Anything else was too much. He had no energy, his body was rejecting many foods and he lived a very restricted life. He was told by the Dr’s he would need to be seen by a psychiatric Dr to manage his moods. After working with the NAM, he is now able to live a balanced life, he can work without getting exhausted, has minimal stress, and takes everything in stride. He feels for the first time at peace with himself.

Lyn was left butchered by reconstructive surgery where they had ravaged her body, she was left with severe pain for over a decade and they actually told her to just accept it. Lyn took the NAM method and changed her life around. Lyn’s situation could have been horrendous for her and her husband. They were facing having to leave their own home of 50 years, so they could be cared for as her husband’s health was declining with dementia. Lyn is now strong and resilient, caring for her husband and making their last chapter as loving and magical as possible.

The reason my clients get results like this is because I specialise in helping my clients achieve three things. Healing, Freedom and Power.

The Healing is where I teach my clients how to easily heal themselves and their loved ones so they can quickly eliminate mental, physical and emotional pain – even if nothing in the past has worked.

The Freedom empowers them to eliminate the negative voices in their head and experience a new level of peace, clarity and focus.

The Power is all about being unwavering in their own truth so they can take charge of their life and create the life they want now.

Your age and the question you should ask and keep asking

We have a question to ponder deep within us every seven years. When I came across this image I was blown away. So I decided I must share, I also wrote some questions to help you get started.

Take a deep breath abc slow down! It’s time we slowed right down and follow the path we feel drawn too, instead of spinning our wheels and getting nowhere fast. Breathe slowly and deeply. Slow down and do this orotund exercise.

Step 1: look at the age bracket you are in and ask the questions related to that sign. It can take 5 minutes or if you go deep and it could take you 20 minutes.

This exercise is important if you want to go somewhere and not end up scratching your head saying how did I get here? Take the reigns and decide where you want to go.

35-42 why? Why am I here? Why am I not getting better? why am I not improving? Why is my health so bad? Why am I not happy? Why do I not love my life?

42-49 What? What do I want from life? What do I want to create? What do I want to be remembered for? What is creating unhappiness? What creates happiness in my life?

49-56 who? Who am I? Who do I want to be? Who am I becoming? Who do I want in my life? Who is feeding me? Who is depleting me? Who do I want to be?

56- 63 When? When will I know I’m enough? When will I accept myself? When will I love myself? When will I stand up for myself? When will I let go of what’s not serving me? When will recognise my greatness? When will I share my greatness? When will I own my greatness?

64-70 how? How will I leave this world? How will I stand tall? How will I stand in my sovereignty? How will I know I’ve done all I can so I can transcend into the next stage.

Peace.

To The Person Wrestling Anxiety: You've Got This!

This goes out to every person struggling with anxiety.

To every beautiful soul on whom stress has taken its toll.

To every single being who just wants to be free.

You are not alone. You are not weak. You deserve to get better. You deserve inner peace. You are beautiful. YOU.ARE.BRAVE! You have to realise that there is nothing wrong with you and that the challenges you are facing right now could be overcome easily if you just allow it!

Anxiety can be deadly. There comes a point in every person’s life when it takes over and they are unable to function properly. Your heart starts to race. Sweat appears on your palms. You begin to tremble. That’s when you know the situation has gotten out of hand and it is high time you did something about it.

In this blog post, I will share with you some tips that you can use to overcome your anxiety and find that much-needed inner peace!

Understanding anxiety and how to tackle it

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…to cure a disease, you must first understand it. Dealing with anxiety is the same. What causes this feeling of nervousness and overall discomfort? There is no one answer – it varies from person to person. The source of your anxiety could be anything, including work-related stress, toxic relationships, some form of emotional trauma, or even the use of drugs. Any of these factors could leave you stuck in a toxic state. Your job is to not let these thoughts overcome your emotional well-being and keep anxiety levels at bay.

But, how exactly does one do that? Let me tell you how.

Watch your diet

You are what you eat. If you eat the wrong type of food, you won’t feel right from the inside. That’s the simplest way of putting it. So make sure you eat right and that your diet is balanced. You need to ensure that your sugar levels are kept under control. Under the influence of anxiety, people tend to crave sugary snacks. This ultimately leads to disrupted blood sugar levels and obesity. Avoid chocolates, processed meat, alcohol, and artificial sweeteners at all costs.

It’s important to incorporate plant-based wholefoods into your diet. Leafy greens and fruits are rich in essential nutrients like vitamins A, B, and D, calcium, magnesium, etc. which are known to alleviate the symptoms of anxiety. Some items which I would personally like to recommend are:

Spinach

Kale

Beans

Oranges

Bananas

Garlic

Barley

Figs

Breathe deeply

At times, our bodies tend to overreact to certain scenarios which aren’t all that threatening or serious at all. Without analysing the complete situation, our heart rate goes up, we start imagining the worst-case scenarios, and our limbs start to shake. Deep breathing can help you a lot in overcoming this problem!

Ask yourself this question: “When was the last time I breathed properly?” People with anxiety make things worse by taking shallow breaths and further increasing their heart rates.

So remember, the next time anxiety starts to take its toll on you, just close your eyes. Slowly inhale a significant amount of air through your nostrils (as much as you can), completely expanding your lungs, and then slowly exhale it through your mouth. Repeat this until your heart rate goes back to normal and your body feels relaxed.

Meditate

Meditation is the best remedy to keep your mind, body, and soul relaxed. It is the most useful tool you have to de-stress and unwind from the challenges of life. Here’s how you can do that:

Find a place without noise. Sit on a chair or on the ground.

Start taking deep breaths, preferably with your eyes closed.

Cancel out all the noise in your head. Block out all of your thoughts and just focus on your breathing. Divert your attention towards your senses.

You can do this for as long as you like or until you feel absolutely relaxed and calm.

Exercise

Your mind and body are connected. Keeping your body active can help you clear out negative thoughts from your mind. Think of exercising as a detox – you are not only getting rid of toxins in your body but those in your head as well. You don’t necessarily have to go for strenuous exercise. Start small – go for a walk or a jog. You can even try yoga or tai-chi. The goal is to get those feel-good endorphins flowing throughout your body. They will help you relax your nerves and muscles and keep your anxiety under control.

Sleep it off

A lack of sleep can significantly impact your nervous system and contribute towards anxiety attacks. After all, experts don’t recommend getting at least 8 hours of sleep each night for nothing. Trust me, it makes a huge difference. Sleep heals the mind and body. More importantly, it helps you battle day-to-day stress and avoid mood swings. So pledge to hit the hay early tonight and follow this habit every day for the rest of your life. You will thank yourself for it! And if you are having trouble falling asleep, just use lavender essential oil.

Ending note

In the end, know deep within yourself that your situation isn’t permanent. The ability to defeat anxiety and find inner peace is within you – all you need is to muster up the courage and find the motivation to make changes in your lifestyle. Keep the tips discussed above in mind and do all that you can to follow them religiously. Happiness and inner peace are just around the corner so stay optimistic and ban negative thoughts from contaminating your mind. Embrace positivity and seek professional counselling if you need additional support to cope with the stress. I wish you the very best of luck!

How To Make New Year's Resolutions Work For You

How to make New Year’s Resolutions Work For You

Every year many people make resolutions to improve their life, their habits, their business.

And every year the majority of us fail miserably at keeping those resolutions.

We have abandoned them before the first month is over.

And each year we blame ourselves for not being strong enough to keep them, to do what we said we would do.

We beat ourselves up over it and are even more convinced that we are weak and worthless creatures.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

We think we are not good enough as we are right now.

This is something that we have been programmed to believe.

Our environment has played a big role in this, our parents, teachers, siblings, friends and also the media.

The only goal of advertising is to make you feel not good enough as you are and you need product XYZ to feel good enough, to be part of your environment and to keep up with the neighbours.

You might know deep down inside of you that this is all a lie, that it is not true, but you doubt your own intuition and feelings about this because everybody else is telling you that you need to improve yourself.

Constantly.

You need to behave according to the rules that society has laid out for you and everybody else.

Only then will you be accepted and part of the whole.

You are supposed to fit into a pattern that does not fit you, but you do your best to fit in, otherwise, people will think you are different and that means you do not belong.

This need to belong stems from our ancestors, they lived in close tribes and when you were excluded from the tribe when you did not fit in, you were left alone.

But this fear is so deeply ingrained in us that we still obey the rules of society and do our very best to fit in.

Nowadays you do not need that anymore, you can take care of yourself, and although the world today is not a totally safe place, you can survive without being part of the tribe.

But this fear is so deeply ingrained in us that we still obey the rules of society and do our very best to fit in.

Well let me tell you a secret:

You will never fit in, so stop trying and start being yourself.

Listen to your own intuition and feelings, because they are telling you the truth.

You do not have to look like that skinny model, you will be much healthier when you have a little bit extra.

You do not need to have that expensive car/house/clothing/jewellery/education to be successful, you are successful when you are happy and none of these things will give you that.

You see what I mean?

Now, when there are things that you want to change because you want to do it for yourself, then, by all means, go ahead and change it.

Not on the first of January, but then and there when you decide to do it.

And you only do the things that you want to, no matter what the rest of the world says or thinks about that.

You are good enough as you are, you are not broken and do not need to be fixed.

You might want to adjust a few little things that you know are better for you, but that is all.

And when you have figured out what you want to change, how you can improve your life, the way you want it, there are a few ways you can do that.

The first thing you do is to become aware of the thing you would like to change and then you accept that, accept that you have that pain, that habit or trait that is bothering you.

Resisting it will make it worse for you.

So just sit with it, think about it and breathe into it, allow it to be.

You are in pain for a reason, you have been acting against your true self, holding in emotions, not being true to your feelings and ignoring your intuition.

These emotions and feelings have settled in your body and are no longer whispering at you to get your attention but shouting at you.

Relax, breathe and love it, be thankful for it, and let it know that it is all right to be there, that you will listen and stop ignoring it. your attention and love it, just love it.

Relax into it, very often it needs to be loved, simply because you need to love yourself, start with this little place that is shouting for your attention and love it, just love it.

So sit with it and allow it to be, allow it to speak to you and thank it for the message it is sending you.

Go inside yourself and feel what it is trying to tell you, what it needs.

Relax into it, very often it needs to be loved, simply because you need to love yourself, start with this little place that is shouting for your attention and love it, just love it.

Relax, breathe and love it, be thankful for it, and let it know that it is alright to be there, that you will listen and stop ignoring it.

Allow the emotions to come up and go into them, allow them to be, it is OK.

When you feel angry, express that, when you feel sad, it is OK to cry, when you feel lonely, just feel that and accept it, acknowledge it.

Relax into it, very often it needs to be loved, simply because you need to love yourself, start with this little place that is shouting for your attention and love it, just love it.

Relax, breathe and love it, be thankful for it, and let it know that it is alright to be there, that you will listen and stop ignoring it.

It is you that is talking to you here and these emotions have been bottled up for a long time, so it is time to allow them to be expressed.

When you do this, you can choose to be on your own and find out how this works.

Some people can create a safe environment for themselves to do this is and that is wonderful.

But when you find it difficult to do this on your own, and I can imagine that this is hard to do in the beginning, we are here to help and guide you.

All you have to do is book a free session with us and we will show you how you can get the best results out of this.

And remember, we will not tell you how you have to change, nor what you have to change, that is up to you because you know what is best for you.

We are only here to guide you on your journey.

So just book a free session right now, so we can show you how to heal yourself.

We hope to hear from you soon.

And when you feel compelled to share any of your experiences here, please do so, you know we can all learn from each other.

Believe in Yourself

By believing in yourself you will give yourself and your environment the greatest gift you can give anyone: Your trust, confidence and security.

Being kind to yourself helps you bounce back, live healthier, and stay on track.

Self-compassion is a way of relating to yourself that does not involve harshly judging or punishing yourself for every mistake you make, or each time someone else does better than you. Research on self-compassion shows that it is associated with:

Less anxiety and depression.

-> More optimism.

-> Better recovery from stress.

-> Better sticking to healthy behaviour changes, such as exercise or diet.

Self-Compassion has three separate but related aspects:

1. Mindfulness: This offers a “meta-perspective” on our hardships, which is helping us to not exaggerate our distress and become engulfed by it. It means that you have an open, curious, non-judging attitude; and do not over-identify with negative stories about the self.

2. Self-kindness refers to: Treating yourself kindly, rather than harshly. For example, instead of being critical (I’m so disorganized! I’ll never be successful!), allow your inner voice to be supportive and warm (It’s OK that I missed the deadline. I worked hard and I’ll make it next time). This means that you can extend the same care and support to yourself that you would to a good friend or loved one.

3. Common humanity: Allow yourself to be human, to make mistakes and learn from them. Know that as humans we are not perfect, nor should we be expected to act flawlessly. Accept that we are not alone in our suffering, this comforts us with feelings of inclusivity rather than alienation.

Self-compassion or self-love may be a foreign concept for some people. This is especially true for those who were raised in abusive or unloving homes, where compassion may have been non-existent.

Self-compassion refers to a way of relating to the self—with kindness. It is not to be confused with arrogance or conceit, which usually indicates a lack of self-love.

Self-compassion is described as kindness toward the self, which entails being gentle, supportive, and understanding, rather than harshly judging oneself for personal shortcomings, the self is offered warmth and unconditional acceptance. In other words, being kind to ourselves in good times and bad, in sickness and in health—and even when we make mistakes.

Having self-compassion means being able to recognize the difference between making a bad decision and being a bad person. When you have self-compassion, you understand that your worth is unconditional.

There is an exercise I would like you to do.

1. Write down your self-critical thoughts in the second person – e., “You are such a loser. You can’t get anything right.” When you cannot think of any self-critical thoughts at this moment, try to watch yourself in the next 48 hours or so and notice these thoughts, then write them down.

2. Then write down realistic and compassionate responses to these thoughts, the way you might respond to a friend that is saying these things about themselves. Write these statements in the first person – e., “I am not a loser. I have many strengths, and I don’t have to beat myself up when I make a mistake.”

The second part of this exercise can be challenging and unexpectedly emotional for many of us. It’s often difficult to stand up to our critical inner voices – particularly when so many of us struggle with low self-esteem. Input from others is often experienced as additional criticism, and can trigger us and set off even more critical inner voices; Our responses may range from feeling victimized or overly defensive to exaggerating and needing to build ourselves up.

However, the attitude we need to adopt to enable us to stand up to our inner critic, is one that is scientifically proven to be highly beneficial to our overall mental health and well-being. That attitude is self-compassion.

Unlike self-esteem, self-compassion is not based on self-evaluation or judgement in general. Self-esteem can be problematic, because it is often depending on what we accomplish. It can rise and fall with our successes and failures and actually fuel our critical inner voice. In contrast, self-compassion involves a consistent attitude of kindness and acceptance toward ourselves as a whole.

Most people can feel some sort of compassion for themselves, because they agree that basically all human beings deserve compassion and understanding, not because they possess some particular set of traits, but simply because they are human.

If you happen to have any secret ways to believe in yourself and to love yourself, rolled up your sleeves then please, do share them with us. Come join our FREE 5 day Heal Yourself Challenge. https://www.facebook.com/groups/anxietyseries5day

Having a bad day? Here’s why

Not too long ago I would wake up in a bad mood and the day would progressively get worse. You know those days where everything turns to rubbish … let’s be totally honest here – they turn to shit.

WARNING! Swearing is dotted throughout. It felt right, so I’m sorry if you are offended. If you are, maybe my rawness is not for you.

Those days would be a regular occurrence for me. I was having one of those days not so long go. And here is how it unfolded.

Now before I get to it, the reason why I’m sharing this is when you master this skill, your life changes rapidly and those days seem to last for minutes and come a lot less often.

Okay. So, I woke up feeling annoyed and angry, switching from one to the other – for absolutely no reason. The emotions were strong and I thought, “am I going to be productive like this?”

Absolutely not! I was not in the mood to lift a finger, other than a finger to say you know what.

So here I am with a full days’ of work ahead and absolutely no intentions doing any of it … other than the two-fingered salute.

I said “right. I’m going to sit with this. Fighting and ignoring this doesn’t work. I did that for years.”

I want you to give yourself permission to accept that everyone has bad days. The feeling amazing and bouncing out of bed (the personal development books pipe dream) saying my life is amazing, “I’m so grateful”, is unrealistic to achieve every day. And if anyone says they have those days every day are either:

1. lying, or

2. not being truthful with themselves and certainly not growing. Think of growing pains.

So after two minutes (no word of a lie), this is how quick it gets when you do it enough times – the major hurdle for most is remembering and catching yourself.

Okay, so back to it. I realised I’m feeling disrespected hence the anger and annoyance. I won’t bore you with the detail but here are the nuts and bolts

I found a part of me was disrespectful of my needs, and therefore when I felt disrespected, it hurt.

Now you maybe are thinking “well, of course, you feel hurt that’s a normal reaction.” I’m going to flip this concept on its head. It’s not and here is what I’ve learnt in years of practice.

When we experience a strong reaction or emotion such as anger, as I did, it’s your body’s way of saying “I’ve had enough of holding on to this now. Can you do something about it?”

What do we do? Hide, suppress, ignore, that’s why it doesn’t go away and many people end up living in these feelings and heavy emotions for most of their lives and don’t even know.

The trick here is to sit with it and know it will pass. But you have to listen as your body is talking to you and ignoring it creates chaos – both internally and externally.

Ask the following:

*Why am I feeling this way?

*What is my body showing me I’m holding on to?

*What do I need to know about this?

We create stress on our bodies when we do have these conversations. The stress, in turn, has an impact on how our body functions. In other words, it makes life difficult for your body to do its job keeping you healthy and alive. Your mind to concentrate so you can create what you actually want.

My question to you is how long are you willing to be on the emotional spin cycle?

I stand for truth, realness and openness with a hint of raw so you can be too as it’s the only way we can heal.

Chronic Pain is Horrendous – an insight to my experience

I want to start off by saying living with Chronic Pain this is horrendous. Living with it on a daily basis, or with flare-ups is dreadful. This disease, illness, a condition that no one knows I will later find out is called Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Hashimoto’s.

You usually hear things like:

“keep on fighting”

“One day at a time”

“take a painkiller and keep living your life”.

When I originally wrote this I wanted to cry, I felt like a weak loser. Upon reflection, I see I wasn’t ready to hear the words I now share.

So why am I digging out this old diary note I wrote? Because I want you to know that, no matter how dark and low you have been, you can get through.

Back to my diary entry …

There seems to be nothing that helps. I’m being given lots of painkillers and I was constantly told I needed antidepressants. But I know it’s not meant for me. I feel forgotten, ignored, written off.

Please give a thought to all who are suffering. The ones who are existing as we are not living, just merely existing. But we are still alive and trying to fight to wake up and just get through one day to the next.

God, the side effects of medication or the illness – I don’t know anymore. Depression, fog, anxiety, nausea, IBS, or social anxiety. I experience all of these challenges silently. No one gets it. No one knows. Nor do they understand. When I do share, the voice in my head says “here you go again – moan, moan, moan. You’re giving me a headache. God knows what others must think. I hate this miserable me. You used to be fun and now you’re just boring”. I grin through the pain and say I’m fine. Today is not too bad.

There’s that tiredness when you’ve been working non-stop for days on end without a break. Multiply that by 100, and maybe again and then the not sleeping on top of that for over a year. And that is close to what I feel like most days.

Having to go through all of this with a newborn (who’s now a toddler) and I’m struggling. I don’t know what day it is most of the time but I’m able to carry on. It’s got progressively worse very quickly and I’ve got no one who gets it. I feel so alone.

I can’t remember much of what happened through the years as I wasn’t conscious a lot of the time. I remember waking in the middle of the night feeling like I had a 24-hour bug, feeling sick, temperature, shaking and then by morning it had gone. But by morning I felt like I was left with the feeling of being run over by a bus that then reversed on me.

I remember one night I suffered from a migraine and neck pain that was so extreme, it felt like I was going to die of the pain. My husband called an ambulance as I was paralysed by the pain – no movement without severe spasms and tears rolling down my face. I was too scared to cry or sob. I just wanted to die. At the hospital, the doctors said, “We think this pain is in your head and unfortunately we will not be giving you any more painkillers”. I was only given what the paramedics had administered and they recommended I see a clinical psychologist. I was discharged six hours later feeling like a raving lunatic. How could I trust the medical system to help me?

This lesson would be repeated over and over on my chronic pain journey.

If you are where I was, please know that it’s not for life – and know you can be more powerful than the pain.

COVID-19 Stress Relief

Stress is the number 1 cause of disease. It breaks down the body’s ability to heal.

But did you know that it’s deeper than that? Here it is – the type of stress and the perception you have of stress is what determines its impact. I’ll say it again, your perception of the stress is what decides whether it will kill you or make you stronger.

When I say kill you, I mean it’s taking you to survival mode. And there is only one road for living in survival mode – that is the road to dying.

So the stress of COVID-19 is not good stress. We agree it’s pretty scary for some and to help put another spin on this turn of events, I will share with you some simple ways to help you feel a little better.

Fear is the biggest cause to stress. So how can you turn your fear into something beautiful?

What’s more beautiful than a random act of service

Help an elderly person you know on your street or nearby. And do something like taking their bins out or bringing them in, raking the leaves, bringing them a box of tissues. Guess what? Your fear has been used for the greater good. It’s changed now because you helped another person who has a deep reason to be in fear to feel a little better. And it was you who brightened up their day.

Panic of not enough food

Turn that into buying an extra couple of items and take it to a food bank. Helping people less fortunate and knowing you have enough to contribute will eliminate the panic.

Disgust of human greed looking in supermarkets and seeing selfishness

Ask yourself what state of mind must they be in to not care for others. They must be in deep fear, stress, panic and so scared of being without, it has driven them to this selfishness and having no regard for anyone else. This is called survival. We all have this within us – just some a lot more than others. Obviously not a reader of my blogs 😉

Anger that you have had to cancel plans, lost business now isolated and stuck inside (fill in the blank for you)

Take a deep breath and say I needed to rest. I needed to slow down. Now ask yourself what do I need to address? What have I let slip and need to get on top of? I chose to feel ok with this (and if you can’t that’s ok too. We can help you).

Judgement is the greatest contributor to human pain. And if we remove our judgment of how others react, the better our world will be.

I recently recorded a video on COVID-19 which is a free immune booster session.

About me and starting your healing journey

There are many misconceptions about what chronic pain is.

So what is it? It’s ongoing pain that lasts more than three months or, what regularly occurs, beyond the usual healing time. What it usually means is that the pain is deep-seated. In other words, chronic pain is both ongoing and deep-seated.

However, breaking the cycle of chronic pain can be a challenge. And it does hurt to heal.

Who am I to tell you about chronic pain?

Six years ago I was told by medical professions that nothing could be done to heal me or to alleviate my chronic pain. I was told I’d be permanently disabled and that I’d forever walk with a limp. At the time I was taking painkillers regularly, thanks to the chronic pain I was enduååring. And I was addicted to them.

But, nevertheless, I was told there was no way out. The medical professionals shared nothing with me about how I could heal myself.

This led to me having a nervous breakdown which, in turn, resulted in me suffering from PTSD, anxiety and depression … on top of my painkiller addiction. Prior to this, I had started researching chronic pain as I had suffered more than one autoimmune disease. But I hadn’t taken that research as far as I needed to. I wasn’t ready.

It was my darkest moment and I was ready to end my life. I then realised two things:

I didn’t want my infant son to find me if I ended my life, and

I can’t be the only person who felt like I did and I couldn’t be the only person in my situation or in circumstances similar to mine

My thorough research led me to start my own business. Why? The findings of my research is what healed me and I felt it important to be able to share this information to help others.

How to start breaking your pain cycle

It’s a big challenge to start breaking your cycle of pain. I know – I’ve been there. It is important to remember that hoping to get out of pain and believing you can get out of pain are two completely different things. It’s very important that you need to believe that you can change what’s going on with your body.

Another important factor you need to remember is that the healing process is judgment-free. What does this mean? It means that breaking the pain cycle is not about judging yourself. Judging yourself makes the process more difficult. And, as you know, it’s difficult enough as it is!

So, let’s start with two questions:

Are you ready to learn what you need to do to get out of pain?

What is your willingness to change?

Using a scale of 1 to 10 when answering these two questions – 1 being “I’m not ready yet” and 10 is “yes, I’m all in”. It’s okay not to be ready yet.

It’s important to know your answers to these questions so that you know where you’re at. Learning takes energy and when you’re in chronic pain, you often feel like you don’t have any spare energy.

But knowledge is power. And if you don’t use it then it’s not knowledge.

If you’re not willing to learn just yet, that’s okay. Remember what I said earlier about not judging yourself? If you’re not yet ready, it’s because there’s something you need to work on and there’s nothing wrong with that. But if you don’t know where you’re at, how do you know where you want to go? And how do you know how you’re going to get there?

Don’t beat yourself up. It is what it is. If you know where you are, you know where you’re heading. That’s why it’s important to know.

A useful technique that will help you with the above two questions

Six years ago, I was in your shoes. I was so tired and drained when I first asked myself about my willingness to learn. And do you know what? I just wanted to stay in bed and wallow.

It takes time and it takes you to heal. But here’s a starting point – a technique called visualisation. I started by visualising getting out of bed with no pain. At first, I may have been pain-free for the first half an hour after getting up. But that increased to an hour and so on.

Why does this work? We anticipate things and when we anticipate things, it happens. We preempt what’s going to happen. It’s a pattern that we created, whether we realise it or not! By visualising getting out of bed with no pain, I was rewiring my brain. Our brains have patterns that create pain. You are more powerful than your pain.

What do you need to visualise to start rewiring your brain? You maybe like me – you may need to start by visualising getting out of bed with no pain. It may also be something else for you.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
