Reiki is a wonderfully soothing and restorative form of energy body work. If you're seeking certification, then I'm sure you're familiar with the benefits of Reiki.

When people come to experience a Reiki session, there are some that are so profoundly transformed by it that they want to be able to do that for others. It seems to awaken the healer in those whose path always included healing, but they weren't yet aware of it. Reiki is easy to learn, easy to administer and is such a healing force that I wish this was taught in school so that everyone was a Reiki practitioner!

I've been a Reiki practitioner and certified Reiki Master for over two decades. It's probably been one of the most fulfilling paths I've taken in my life. If practicing Reiki is on your to-do list, then don't wait any longer. The world needs more healers, more people to shine their light, and more people to share their gifts.

What to Expect

Remote certification and attunement are just as effective as their in-person counterparts. Reiki is energy and therefore is not bound by physical distance.

This is your introduction to channeling Reiki, and when you would learn the bulk of the information on the energy system, chakras, and other valuable information. You'll be provided course material and as many 90-minute teaching sessions as it takes for you to fully learn the material. The average number of sessions is four, but you might need more or less. This level is traditionally for self-healing (a must!), but you can also practice on plants, animals, and close friends/family members.

Note: Some teachers frown upon a Level 1 practitioner doing anything but self-healing as that's what this level has been traditionally for. However, I believe that experiencing working on people close to you allows you to become familiar with how Reiki moves through a person and what you might encounter. It also helps you decide whether or not you want to progress to Level 2.

This is also the level at which you become aware of how the Reiki works with you, what it feels like when you're channeling Reiki, and it's also the time where your rapport with the Reiki energy is built. Since this will be different for each individual due to your own unique energy signature, there is no teacher who can tell you these things. You have to experience them yourself. This level sets the foundation upon which you'll build your abilities and skills as a practitioner.

Once you've absorbed the knowledge fully, you will go through the attunement process. An attunement is a short ceremony during which the level-appropriate Reiki symbols are energetically placed into your body, hands, and energy field. This ceremony is a sacred ritual and many people feel transformed in some way following it.

Any person who I certify can feel confident they're getting the full benefit of my 20+ years of experience working with Reiki energy. Also, anyone I certify is afforded lifetime support from me on their Reiki journey. Sometimes questions come up after practicing for months or even a year, as you'll encounter many different people, each of whom have their own set of challenges and their own unique energy signature. As you navigate through this, questions arise. Typically, if you learned Reiki through a weekend group class, it can be difficult to contact your teacher for guidance and support. This is the third reason I prefer one-on-one teaching. It allows me to be the best teacher I can be for you, which allows you the chance to become the best practitioner you can be.
