Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we go through many times every day. It is a state of focused consciousness and a tool for implementing change into your mind. It is also a state of extreme relaxation with attention focused inward during which a therapist can make appropriate suggestions helping the client make positive changes within him/herself. Hypnosis is a series of instructions which, if used properly, can implement change within a person's life. When in hypnosis, the patient is in an enhanced state of awareness but the conscious mind is suppressed to reveal the subconscious mind. In this state, it is easier to make suggestions and adaptations to the patient to promote healing and positive development.
