What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that balances life energies and brings health and well being to the recipient.
Reiki promotes stress reduction and relaxation, triggers the body’s natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains health.
The word “Reiki” is derived from two Japanese words: rei (universal) and ki (life energy): when we are healthy and balanced, this energy flows freely through energy channels, known as “meridians”, and energy centres, known as “chakras”. However, emotional or physical stress, traumas or negative thought patterns can hamper the free flow of our life energy, often resulting in physical symptoms when such blockages are prolonged over time.
Hindu and Buddhist traditions have independently identifies 7 chakras or energy centres, each corresponding to specific physical organs and related to specific aspect of consciousness: by clearing blockages at the level of the chakras, the body is restored to its optimal energetic state.
What happens during a Reiki session?
In a traditional Reiki session, the client lies down or sits fully clothed. The practitioner’s hands are placed lightly on or just above the client’s body, palms down, using a series of positions.
A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being.
Can I get a Reiki healing session at a distance?
Absolutely! Reiki distant healing works as effectively as the one experienced in person.
During a distant Reiki healing session, you will be asked to relax and close your eyes, while the energy healing occurs, and you will be guided through the process with ease from the comfort of your own home.
How long is a treatment and how much does it cost?
A treatment can last between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on what you would prefer. Of course, the longer the treatment, the deeper are the results.
All my treatments are £60 per hour, but you could also have a shorter treatment of 30 minutes for £35.

hello Mei and thank you for your message. I am happy to answer, but I would need some clarification. When you talk about “initiation” do you refer to the course to learn Reiki? I can teach Reiki online, and the course is as effective and as powerful as in person. I only teach one to one, so that the student gets my full attention, and they get to ask all the questions that might be relevant to them, and the course is totally tailored for their needs. So this is the advantage of having the remote course on an individual basis, versus a group class when students don’t get individual attention. If for “remote initiation” you mean remote healing, then I also do individual only remote healing. It would be a remote energy healing session specifically for you, so I could tune into what your body and energy system needs, and I could give you feedback on the state of your energy and chakras, so that you get to see what your energy is inviting you to open up to, and what you are ready to release
