Practice does not make perfect, nor does it make you any better.
It is said that practice makes perfect.
It will be far more difficult to improve if you practice doing something wrong since you will have to unlearn negative habits.
Prior to committing time to practice, be aware of the proper manner to conduct things.

To add to what Robby said, if you're learning something via YouTube videos, pick at least three of them and watch how they do it.
