Manifestation
Manifestation
The ability to manifest is a powerful tool and the clearer you are, in yourself, the easier it becomes. On the one hand, manifestation is an advanced energetic skill that requires caution and mindfulness. On the other hand, we are all living, perhaps uncomfortably(!), with the hard fact that we create our own reality.
The Law of Attraction
In New Age philosophy, the “Law of Attraction” is cited:
“The law of attraction is the name given to the maxim “like attracts like” which in New Thought philosophy is used to sum up the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life.” [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_attraction_(New_Thought
Wikipedia]
Unfortunately, a shallow understanding of this “Law” can lead to misery and self-blame, where none is deserved. People who experience extremely difficult life events, like the loss of a child, or developing a terminal illness, are left wondering: “What did I do to cause this? Where did my thinking go wrong? How did I attract this into my life?” As Healers, we need to unburden our clients from the simplistic, but popular, idea that they somehow attracted to themselves negative life events by thinking negative thoughts.
“Bad” things happen to everyone. That’s Life. It is important to understand that the Law of Attraction comes into play AFTER the “bad”life event. [The “bad” life event has more to do with your Soul Contract, which you would have devised BEFORE your birth/incarnation – and, as one may well say: “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”]
From the perspective of “inside our lives” we cannot explain why things happen to us. This is part of the mystery of the universe, the mystery of our nature as spiritual beings, and the mystery of Life itself.
We can observe, however, that our lives are designed so that we come up against these mysteries, and that we are forced to make choices in this state of “not knowing.”
In this state of “not knowing,” as we face our difficulties, we have the opportunity to learn how to make good choices and find a positive path. On the positive path we will attract more positive.
To put it more simply, we cannot always choose what happens to us, but we can always choose how we respond. And how we respond will determine what happens next.
Clarity of Intention
The art of manifestation is linked inextricably with intention. The clearer your intention is, the more quickly you will be able to manifest what you want.
The greatest obstacle to manifestation is carrying conflicting intentions: “I want to lose 10 pounds, but first I will finish the ice cream in the freezer.”
Most of us are a hotbed of conflicting thoughts and ideas. This leads to random and erratic behavior, which cannot provide a good outcome.
For manifestation to be the outcome, we need all of the following:
1. Ascertaining the desire.
2. Ascertaining the motivation.
3. Wording the intention constructively and precisely.
4. Ascertaining the inner blocks that could sabotage the intention.
5. Establishing the realistic steps that could lead to the desired outcome.
6. Applying energy to create and maintain movement.
7. Steering in the correct direction.
From this list, it is easy to see that Manifestation requires a lot of inner work, an awareness of self, and the establishing of consistent and constructive behavior.
When learning how to manifest, begin with a simple and realistic desire. Build your manifestation muscles gradually in the same way that physical strength and fitness has to be developed.
Remember to appreciate your success, no matter how small it may seem once accomplished. We must learn not to move the goal posts, and we must learn how to feel satisfied.
