Therapy starts with an intake session where we collaboratively explore and discuss the problem(s) or life circumstances you wish to focus on. A high emphasis is placed on building a supportive therapeutic relationship and open atmosphere for treatment. We will then formulate a treatment plan, outlining specific treatment strategies in order to support you in achieving your goals.
We will then work on the agreed treatment goals in subsequent sessions, using a range of psychological interventions in order to promote a reduction in symptoms and / or improved insight into underlying complaints. Moreover, we will regularly evaluate treatment to ensure treatment progress.
I implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, in accordance with your request for help and treatment goals, including:
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Schema Therapy (ST)
Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)

I’m depressed, I think I’m not going to get anywhere in life. I’m tired of living with such thoughts. How many sessions will I need to get rid of these thoughts?
