Hi, I am Alice. I would like to introduce myself and what I do.
I have a deep interest in people and enjoy listening to my clients. I believe each of us has the inner resources to solve our own problems at our own pace and uncover our True Self. My job is to help you along your own unique healing journey.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping, is a method of healing that uses tapping on traditional acupressure points combined with ‘talk therapy’ and can free people from a variety of unwanted negative emotions.
By tapping on the body's acupressure points while focusing on a problem or negative thought, the body's fight or flight response is calmed, enabling you to reprogram yourself in a way that serves you better.
People have reported that EFT has helped them with issues such as phobias, anxiety, food cravings, public speaking and performance anxiety, physical pain, insomnia, attaining goals, muscle tension, and many others.
I have consistently used EFT in my life since 2010 when I first discovered it - I love that it is so simple and body-based. It's all too easy to talk and talk round in circles, getting in more and more of a muddle about things, but EFT gently cuts through all the chatter and drops us into a deeper space where we can access our own intuition and healing. There is something primal and deeply soothing about tapping on the body: "I am here. Right now I'm ok. This is my body. These are my fingers. I am more than my chattering mind. I am body, mind and spirit." Just like yoga, qigong and other spiritual/somatic practices, EFT provides a nexus between body, mind and spirit, allowing us to integrate all three.
I especially enjoy working with women. I have experienced first hand some women-specific challenges in my life (PMS, miscarriage, motherhood, an abusive relationship within a strongly patriarchal culture). I currently draw strength and nourishment from mother-to-daughter dynamics as I live with both my mother and daughter. I am particularly interested in the lives of other women and enjoy helping them to navigate their own challenges as they also grow and find their paths in life.
I completed my EFT Practitioner qualification in 2011, and as of 2020 I am an EFT International Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner. I am a member of EFT International (Member #19092925) and the EFT Guild.
I help women with anxiety to feel calm and connected to their life path by balancing the body's energy system. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful method of stress relief where we tap on the body's acupressure points while talking about our problem.
I am an Accredited Advanced EFT Practitioner offering one-to-one sessions online as well as regular group workshops.
