It's estimated that in 2020 total sales were $430 million. The Guinness book of world records officially recognizes the Bible as the best-selling book of all time!

It's interesting because there are two frames of thinking when you ponder these statistics.

1. The world we live in should be a better place then it currently is when compared to how the Bible teaches us how we should live.

Or

2. The world would be even worse off than it is if not for so many bibles being made available.

I was surprised to discover that there are 80,000 different versions of the Bible. Logically this supports the argument of quality over quantity.

Not all bibles are created with the already established focus of proper translation and doctrine from the original manuscripts as in days of old.

As a result we find inferior versions that put a focus on trying not to offend the reader and end up compromising on real life changing truth!

We must recognize that in the eyes of God we all are by default sinful and without excuse.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God - Romans 3:23

The good news is God still loves us and has provided a perfect remedy available to anyone who so chooses.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16

This amazing offer does have an expiration date based our lifespan and the second coming of Jesus Christ which no one can predict either.

7 Behaviours That Ruin People’s Life

We all have a dark side. The part of ourselves we don’t quite understand the actions and behaviors. We don’t know the reason, for we can’t comprehend and perhaps are unable to see at all no matter how close we stand in the mirror. It may appear as weaknesses that dilute your strengths or flaws that take away from your true potential.

Come what may, our imperfections are part of who we are. They’re just the natural side effect of being Human. And being a good human is a full-time job in itself which takes a great deal of commitment and vulnerability.

In order to get to know yourself better, it’s therefore important to acknowledge the side of you, one that you may not recognize but plays a huge role in shaping who you are as a person.

Let’s now take a deep dive into 7 behaviors that could deeply impact your life.

7 Behaviours That Ruin People’s Life

1. Perfectionism
   Perfectionism can come in all shapes and sizes throughout your life. Perfectionism may have been a younger you who always pulled out a ruler to draw straight lines for every homework, assignment. Or your present-day, over-achieving, self who needs to quadruple-check your work, and emails before it is sent.

Although perfectionism may seem like a perfect trait to have. The reality of being a perfectionist is far less ideal than it seems on the surface. So what exactly is perfectionism?

What is Perfectionism
Brown University defines perfectionism as “a set of self-defeating thoughts and behaviors aimed at reaching excessively High unrealistic goals.” And according to them, “it’s highly likely that perfectionists develop this trait from Having learned early in life, that other people value them because of their achievements.”

Perfectionists are often critical of themselves and seek validation so often due to the fear of failure, mistakes, and disapproval by their Inner Circle in society. You are more concerned about all that is left to do and has not been completed. This vicious cycle of chasing after unattainable, and being obsessed with rigid self-imposed standards is highly damaging, as you are trapped in an unending effort to feel worthy.

2. Procrastination
   It’s the end of the week and you’re looking at your to-do list: important emails check, reviewed, your peer's Project work; Check the schedule: those important meetings, appointments, and check-ins, check, check and you think you’re done, and ready to call it a day. But then, there it is, the big project that’s due tomorrow which you’ve been putting off for a whole week. If this sounds like you, you’re definitely not alone, we all procrastinate from time to time.

However, if you find yourself developing this as a habit that is affecting your productivity, then, there’s a chance it’ll start affecting you.

While being procrastination, as defined by McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, “is a self-defeating Behavior pattern marked by short-term benefits and long-term costs. It’s when you put things off knowing completing the task so close to the deadline will be difficult.”

And according to a 2014 study on procrastination featured in the individual differences Association Journal, “20 to 25 percent of adults around the world are chronic procrastinators.”

An issue that can be linked to more serious mental health conditions. Such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

So basically, continuing to put that one thing off your to-do list, can cause more harm than good, leading to poor mental and physical health long-term.

3 Overworking yourself
In the growing hustle culture of today’s society, we often compromise work and school life balance in an effort to reach Greater Heights of success. It can be hard to walk away from your workspace when there seems to be so much more left to do. But working long hours is not the way to go.

A recent study conducted by the International Labor Organization and the World Health Organization has found that “working more than 55 hours a week can lead to health problems. Such as stroke, reoccurring chest pain, and coronary artery disease.”

Psychologist Adam Borland psyD explains the issue further stating, “we’re expecting ourselves to perform physically and cognitively on such a high level but in reality, our reserves are tapped out. Think about it, how long would you be able to keep going if your car was low on gas? Not too far. It’s crucial to take breaks before your body starts giving you no choice but to do so.”

4. Passive aggressiveness
   Have you ever asked a team member to take care of a task for you or a family member to help you with a chore you can’t get to, just to have them respond with a sarcastic remark or mutter something under their breath?

If you’ve ever seen someone’s bubbling frustration masked by a questionably nice attitude, chances are, they’re being passive-aggressive toward you.

As the Mayo Clinic explains, “passive-aggressive behavior is a pattern of indirectly expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them.”

They will typically be a disconnect between what a passive-aggressive person says and does. You may agree to do something for someone, but rather than following through with the usual enthusiasm, you express bitterness and resistance in opposition to the demands. This can have more consequences when it’s used as a response to anyone in a position of Authority or in situations where a Corporation is needed for Success.

Passive aggressiveness is an extremely toxic and unproductive attitude that can interfere with relationships through growing resentment, hostility, and Discord.

5. Codependency
   Mental Health America explains, “codependency is an emotional and behavioral condition where a person forms or maintains relationships that are one-sided emotionally, destructive, and or abusive.”

A significant factor that can influence an individual’s likelihood of being codependent can include, growing up in a dysfunctional family where members can suffer from Pain, shame, fear, or anger that is ignored or denied, with these concerns not being confronted or talked about.

If you are exposed to such an environment, you learn to develop coping mechanisms to ignore, deny and avoid your own emotions, and develop fast emotional attachments to anyone that shows you the type of love or care you didn’t receive when you needed it.

Most codependency often leads to one person carrying the pressure in a relationship where they are sacrificing their needs in the interest of others' health, safety, and well-being. It is harmful from both sides and leaves an individual losing contact with their own sense of self, social avoidance, or withdrawal.

6. Loneliness
   Loneliness is something everyone deals with from time to time, whether moving away from home or grieving a loss of a loved one, or experiencing a breakup.

According to the American Psychological Association, “this is known as reactive loneliness, as it’s a direct effect of a life change someone’s faced with.” However, chronic loneliness and social withdrawal is an epidemic that is significantly impacted the world in recent years, especially since the pandemic hit.

Chronic loneliness is the effect of social avoidance due to a number of factors which the APA described as “when individuals don’t have the mental or emotional ability or resources to satisfy social needs.”

As social creatures, we thrive on human connection and are even needed to survive. A 2019 study led by Cassandra Alcaraz, a public researcher with the American Cancer Society, found that “social isolation increases the risk of premature death with the magnitude of health risks being concerningly similar to smoking, lack of physical activity, and obesity.”

Social avoidance, isolation, and withdrawal can severely impact your quality of life leading to mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety through raised stress levels and poor sleep.

7. Excessive regret
   Have you ever wished you took a different route in life, perhaps something that all goes back to a single decision you have made in the past? This feeling of remorse known as regret is a real reaction to a disappointing event in your life, and something you cannot take back or change. It can last for as short as a day, two months, years, and even as long as a lifetime.

Regret is a normal feeling, but being stuck regretting something for an extended period of time and not being able to move forward can take quite a serious toll on your mental and physical health.

As a licensed clinical psychologist at the University of Virginia school of medicine, Jennifer Kim Pemberton explains, “dealing with regret is even more difficult because of the other negative emotions connected to it (Remorse sorrow, and hopelessness)”

Regret can increase our stress negatively, affect physical health and throw off the balance of hormones and immune systems. Regret is not only unpleasant, it is unhealthy. It is crucial to accept regret as a complex emotion allowing yourself to learn from the experience to ultimately come out the other side, feeling more confident. The inaction of excessive regret only leads to a deeper sense of helplessness and distress.

If you have experienced any of the behaviors above, know that there’s always room for growth, and using the opportunity to grow for the better is the first step to getting there. We all have a fair amount of flaws and struggles.

Some weaknesses we can see right before our eyes, while others unveil themselves when we least expect them. All you need is to know when to watch for the signs and recognize unhelpful behaviors or thoughts you may be having. You deserve to love and be the best version.

Don’t beat up yourself for having high expectations in relationships
You have (and can give) what it takes to have high expectations

People with high expectations oftentimes are willing to give what they anticipate

People who aren’t willing to live up to your standards are the ones who tell you not to expect anything (maybe from them, which will be fair enough). But as humans, it’s hard not to expect. Expectation comes from a place of hope, the hope that something will pan out the way we want it. And honestly, that’s not a bad thing. Why? Because as long as we’re ready to give equal energy to the kind we expect, there’s nothing selfish about that.
It’s like having standards of whom you want to be engaged with romantically. It’s not self-alluding to name the traits or characteristics you want from a person, as long as you’re keeping up with your part of the bargain. For example, you want a fit person? I hope you are keeping fit, you want an honest person? I hope honesty is your policy. If you expect to be purposeful, I hope you are doing something (at least?) for it. Stuff like that…

Expectations form our standards or codes of conduct in any given situation.

But these days, especially in relationships, we are told not to expect or anticipate anything from anybody. I get how that can certainly lead to disappointment in the long run, but it’s not enough to erase it from the relationship dictionary. Expectations form the standard or code of conduct between two people or more in any situation. Especially if they have to keep meeting one another. Therefore, I’m postulating that it’s not self-deprecating to expect some level of love and respect from your loved ones, care and consideration from your close friends, and good behavior from the general public. People play it safe (and I used to believe) in living by the mantra: hope for the best, but expect the worst. There’s a silver lining greater than the average credit this quote has received. You’re expecting while hoping. Check it.

In the name of Jesus; may God be blessed as He blesses us to understand the effect of cliques.

Instead of defining what a clique is, the following synonyms describe the various associations we choose daily to embrace our souls with.

Some people think the only way to exist in life is to be a member of specifically desired or idolized groups of people. Some sell their souls by going as far as to adjust from being who God has meant for them to become a person that another person/people want them to portray to support someone else's idea, plan, or camarilla. Did you notice the word fellowship is one of the synonyms? Some religious organizations have preplanned objects for you to join at least one of their groups before entering the church building. Their intention could be to get you to focus on positive energies. However, such intentions can be counterproductive if you feel as if you can’t go to church without being solicited to become a member of an inner circle. The problem is from my experience; if you don’t support the leaders of the pack, your input could be misconstrued as rebellion; which is never anyone’s intention. Now there's a process of rejection that you must go through. Whereas if you had never joined a caucus you wouldn’t have to be subjected to negative assumptions or opinions from other people who never had any concern for your best spiritual development in the first place. This is why we should check the spirit with the spirit. Can you imagine that there was a clique among gods until El Elyon won the war against all nine of the other gods? Our God is the highest God Jehovah El Elyon, who is the creator of earth and heaven. He stood alone as the destroyer of the cliques of gods before creating the earth, and heaven, He is omnipotent, He still out-battles every god that tries to invade our souls and wins every war as we choose to acknowledge, respect, and honor His deity. There is not an idol, god, or being that has been created that will be admired or praised on a higher level than El Elyon. (Bible tools), Does your research suggest otherwise? In other words, My respect is for the God who created Heaven and earth. In retrospect, my research review is about the existence of my entrepreneurship regarding God. Upon analyzing my entity’s existence within social media Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and the Medium platform my current Web site target audiences are everyone and anyone who signs onto social media. My purpose in using the entrepreneurial expertise of each social media is to reach a much wider audience than I would without social media while planting the positivity of God in my life.

In conclusion, I do perceive there to be an area that the media can improve for entrepreneur advertising. Yet, the communication choices are up to you. You can talk with a marketing representative who will help you understand the different avenues you can choose from. I choose to post on various platforms because I want God to be consistently and honorably recognized. With all of the media that is in play, the only better way for anyone to increase followers on one specific platform is for media to intertwine Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and Medium accounts with one default account. By associating the five, Each entrepreneur's applicable followers would be counted on their chosen default platform as a follower. This would be an awesome media network for me concerning God. We live in a fast-paced world where everything seems to move at breakneck speeds and if you take a moment to blink you might miss out on something.

But perception and reality are at great odds so we end up having a distorted perspective and the end result is we feel overwhelmed, and exhausted and leave no room for rest.

To make matters worse we subject ourselves to mass amounts of caffeine and fail to get the proper amounts of sleep. All this equals to underline stress that will impact our mental and physical well-being. So how do we overcome all these challenges?

The most unlikely source remains hidden in plain sight and yet is available to anyone willing to look beyond the mundane.

The peace of God transcends any circumstance we may face if we allow him to develop it within us over time.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When we pray and seek his direction found in his word he grants us a clearer vision of his will and we learn to walk in his precepts with confidence.

I have come truly to realize that Nine Fingers is a divine being. That established I am His messenger, a divine being. It is true perhaps that you will not listen, but I can remember the days when all of you saw Him awakening from sleep, at the dawn of your birth.
