This is an excellent question! Meditation is a really great way to help with insomnia. When we enter a deep meditative state, we are entering the same brain waves as we do in meditation. One great style of meditation is yoga nidra (translated as yogic sleep). There have been a TON of studies done on the benefits of yoga nidra for sleep and helping with things that cause insomnia or sleep disturbances. You can find some great free practices on sights like Insight Timer. One great teacher on this sight is Hilary Jackendoff. I would recommend doing these at least a couple of times a week. You could put one on anytime you're struggling to sleep and see if it helps. It's hard to say how many or how long it will take because each person's case is unique. With yoga nidra, your body will at least get the rest it needs, even if you are unable to fall asleep.

When it comes specifically to booking a 1:1 guided meditation session, these are a great support to your practice or doing audio recordings. You could do just one or book as many as you want. The important part is to mix them with those audio meditations and to develop a consistent practice. There are also energy healings that can be done during the guided meditation practice to help look at and clear from your space what is causing you to not be able to sleep.
