Hi there! I'm Doug and I offer 1 on 1 Holistic Lifestyle and Mental Health Coaching sessions. Navtigating life with mental health issues of any sevarity is a hard road. Your path to vibrant health in all aspects is soley your own. It can be extrordinarily overwhelming to take on this journey on your own. I understand this because of my own first hand experience with severe anxiety and panic disorder. I spent 15 years of my life plauged with intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, and a general feeling of dread most days.
In order to heal ourselves from trauma of any kind, we must bring balance to ourselves in all aspects (body, mind, and spirit). The body is a complex cascade of systems upon systems. When one of those systems falls out of balance, it has effects on different (sometimes seemingly unrelated) parts of the self. I will help you develop your own personal practices to restore balance in yourself.
This method has been design to embrace you as a unique and complex being. Its purpose is to create a nurturing place for you to be able to dive deep into your true desires, fears and needs. This holistic approach includes talking, body work, art work, sand tray, musical instruments, coaching tools, breath work, essential oils, relaxation- all depending on your individual preferences and the therapeutic process that will guide you.
Each session will begin with a discussion around any blockages or challenges presenting in your life. Followed by a guided meditation and healing. All sessions will be done remotely over zoom. Please make sure to have a quiet space for your healing.
Possible topics to be covered during your session include balancing chakras, past life reading, communication with passed away loved ones, ancestral healing, soul contracts, or any other energy in your space asking for a healing.
The goal of each session is to take a look at any energy causing dis-ease and challenges in your life so that you may leave the session with a stronger sense of grounding and empowerment over your life.
Mind Body Eating Coaching is an exciting and timely new approach developed by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating that provides the missing ingredient to nutrition. What we eat is half of the story of good nutrition. The other half of the story is who we are as eaters. Mind Body Nutrition is the psychophysiology of how our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, levels of stress and relaxation, our personal story and more profoundly impact our digestion, assimilation, calorie burning, and nutritional status. My approach is positive and empowering. I effectively address weight loss concerns, body image concerns, overeating, binge eating or emotional eating.
