Paradigm Shift With Your Self Image Transformation

How to build your self-image?

Self-image is often forgotten or not known to many people till their last moments of their lives. The idea of self-image should be inculcated in the childhood before they join the school. One of the best cosmetic surgeon from America, Dr. Maxwell Maltz explained about the greatest psychological discovery of this generation, it was on self-image.

What is Self-Image?

Everybody has an image of their self. It is the way we see ourselves. Of course, there is a reflection on the mirror when we are in front of the mirror but that’s a reflection of our physical being. That’s not a self-image!

We see ourselves in our mind, based on the information we have gathered so far. There are few people who have gathered lots of false information so they have got a false self-image.

In 1960, Dr. Maxwell Maltz wrote a book called psycho cybernetics.

What is cybernetics?

Cybernetics was discovered in Second World War and it was a new concept formed by a physicist and a mathematician Wiener and Rosenblueth. They used it for targeting the missiles. They pointed out that cybernetics is the science of control and communication in the animal and in some machines.

What it does?

It measures deviation from a set goal and senses the information into an ordinary mechanism and corrects the output. This will in turn move the object towards the goal.

Did you know this mechanism is present in the humans as well?

Alright before getting to know about it let us discuss one more concept called paradigms.

What are paradigms?

Paradigms are a multitude of ideas or multitude of habits. It is fixed in the treasury of our subconscious mind. They are partly genetic and partly environmental. In other words, the ideas are in built in our genes at the time of birth that is why we look like our realms.

All the above discussed terminologies when put together will make it an interesting story.

• Your school life will be excellent

• Your sales life will be wonderful

• Your relationships will improve

Anything that you perform out is the pillar of how you see in.

Let us see about cybernetics and paradigms in detail:

They both are control systems and operate essentially on the same principle. Both of them maintain a definite course of action and will not deviate from the course that has been established. You must alter the paradigm to achieve the results you desire.

You can see many people are stuck in the same level. Many sales people explain their next month target and they get the same result with minor ups and downs because they are programmed like that. Similarly athletes are able to predict their play because of their patterns; they are called habitual patterns or a paradigm.

Now lets us understand cybernetics in detail by considering an example.

A thermostat is a cybernetic instrument used for detecting and controlling the room temperature. If you have set a goal of room temperature and suddenly you feel chilled, the thermostat measures the deviation from the set goal and sends a message to the furnace and the fire ignites to increase the temperature to the set goal and goes off.

In olden days it was a manual process to blow away the ashes and set the fire again at the furnace but the technology has evolved and the use of cybernetics is more prominent today.

Similarly the flight or the rocket runs with the mechanism of cybernetics when auto pilot is turned on. It is a cybernetics mechanism which brings back the plane to its set goal by measuring the deviation which can be caused by turbulences.

In human beings, our self-image is the cybernetic instrument. Suppose in your self-image you have been programmed as overweight. So you consciously make a decision to diet and then you take actions you get results, you lose your weight. You cut down all the junk foods that make you fat but your self-image of being overweight makes you fat. If you have a self-image of being fit then your eliminative system will throw away the unproductive fat.

When a person goes on a diet without changing their self-image then any weight you lose is just temporary and that is why people gain and lose weight throughout their life.

The self-image being a cybernetic instrument measures the deviation from the set goal and immediately corrects the course. The weight that was lost is found again.

You can use the paradigms to choose the life and body that you want to live in.

Many people do not understand this concept and are stuck in life in the same place. It is similar to a child having poor grades self-image always secure low marks even after hours of studying.
