Meditating: the way to unwind!

Meditating: the way to unwind!

Do you think it’s important to unwind? So do we! One of the best known and most effective ways is to meditate.

We all need calm, peace and love in our lives, but it doesn’t always come naturally. If it just won’t come our way, why don’t we seek it out ourselves? I can be quite a worrier and know how much this can frustrate you. But since I found the miraculous techniques of meditating, I know exactly how to calm myself down. That’s why I’m explaining to you what meditating is, what it’s good for, and the best way to go about it!

Meditating: what is it exactly?

Meditating is one the more advanced parts of self improvement . It is a spiritual technique to let your mind, body and soul come to rest. You are as it were controlling your breath by breathing in and out in rhythm. In some cases people use a mantra (a repeated statement with an effect). What mantras are good for you will find in this blog.
You learn to observe everything around you and accept your thoughts and/or emotions. You are consciously observing what is going on. The purpose of meditation is enlightenment by dwelling on certain situations and taking distance from them, this will bring you more peace.

Why meditate, and what does meditation do to you?

But as a Hustler, why should you meditate? Most importantly, meditating relaxes you: you accept what is going on, but also look at it more consciously. This makes you solution-oriented towards your problems and you know how to eliminate the unnecessary. You also take better care of yourself because you listen to yourself, learn more about yourself and are consciously working on yourself. In addition, it takes away stress and negative emotions so you also become less frustrated: you get more patience and let things go more easily. This is of course important when you run a business. You need to be able to prioritize your attention.

When you start meditating you first learn to become aware of your body through, for example, breathing and bodily sensations. Then you move on to your thoughts: you let everything come to you and accept it. You try to get both your body and thoughts into alignment by creating peace. Lastly, you are working to get everything in harmony (body, thoughts and emotional feelings). This is perhaps the most difficult part, but you try to be aware of what is going on. You are trying to turn this into positivity, which will therefore affect your happiness.

Tips for getting the most out of your meditation

Where do you start and how can you best meditate? Beginner or advanced: there is no right or wrong. Every person is different and everyone reacts differently to the same stimuli. So I recommend you to start experimenting with the variety of techniques and possibilities. To be able to give you a handhold, I have a number of tips for you:

Start small

If you’re just starting to meditate, it’s smart to start short. Meditating must be built up to make a habit of it. It is easier if it is short and you also give yourself time to get used to it. As it goes better you can add extra minutes yourself.

Choose a fixed moment

It is easy to overlook the fact that you still need to meditate. Make sure you get this into your routine by picking a fixed time and using reminders. It’s preferable to start in the morning, because then you go into your day already self-conscious. You know what you can expect from yourself and how you can take it into account on that day. This is how you cultivate good habits!

Make it comfortable for yourself

Everyone does meditation in his/her own way. Be aware that there is no right or wrong. So you don’t have to think about how to do it all, as long as you feel comfortable with it. So, for example, look at what posture you like and what form of meditation works best for you. There are countless possibilities.

Accept what comes to you

Your emotions and thoughts can be quite confronting, but don’t shut them out. It is part of the process. The purpose of meditation is to learn to deal with what is happening and accepting it plays an important role. Meditating only works if you give yourself over to it. When you try to control your thoughts you weaken what meditation is for.

Meditating is not only good to get to know yourself and to relax, but it is also healthy! There are all kinds of ways to go about this. In fact, when meditating, nothing is wrong. It is important to find out which methods suit you best, what works/not works and how to meditate consciously through the phases. But once you have it in your hands, you will be unstoppable!
