Improve Self-Esteem
Relatively Quick Self-Esteem Healing
by Brian Eastman, Master LIIFT UnTherapist
Recently someone complained that they’d wasted 5 years in (talk) therapy and didn’t feel any better than when they started. Knowing that I had fought my own way to Okness, they asked for ideas of how they could feel better about themselves.
I’ve been on both sides of the self esteem equation and I liken the healing experience to finally fitting well inside my skin and interacting comfortably with the world.
I explained to my acquaintance that there are now several Alt-Med mental-health modalities which can be very effective in helping a client gain self-esteem and feel OK about themselves.
For instance, both LIIFT UnTherapy and Transactional Analysis espouse the goal of enabling the client to feel “welcomed, loved and accepted by the world.”
Other modalities which might work for someone include Emotion Code/Belief Code, EFT, and Time Line Therapy. A good Hypnotherapist might be effective too.
If you are struggling with self-esteem issues, search Core Spirit for practitioners of the above modalities. Whichever one(s) appeal to you, try them out for a few sessions to determine whether you are experiencing even small shifts towards feeling better. It may take trying out several different modalities and practitioners until you find a method and person who are a good combination for you. To my mind, Emotion Code/Belief Code and LIIFT UnTherapy are the strongest options because they each have found a way to minimize any loss of effectiveness from a practitioner’s own issues.
For full transparency: to achieve my own healing I used all modalities I have mentioned here. In my own practice I tend to use a combination of LIIFT UnTherapy and Structural Education with my clients.
