_Have That Hard Conversation, It could make you stronger

“Speak Your Mind, Even If Your Voice Shakes.” _ Maggie Kuhn

If you are reading this you are probably used to dealing with pain on your own.
Are you somebody that finds it hard to open up to others?
Are you scared of people seeing the real you in your most vulnerable state?

If you answered yes to either one of these questions, keep on reading because this story is for you.

Ever since I can remember, people saw me as an outgoing person. I had no problem speaking up in front of people and expressing my opinion. Because of this, I thought I was open and that it would be easy for me to verbalise my feelings.
I honestly thought, that expressing feelings of disappointment, pain and heartbreak wouldn’t be so challenging.

However, this was far from the truth. Like you, I struggled to speak about my feelings and I felt exposed every time somebody got close enough to see who I was.
I ran away from hard conversations and until now, I didn’t realise how much it could affect my journey of healing.

You are probably asking yourself how so?

How can allowing yourself to be open, honest and vulnerable help you to heal?

I am going to tell you, but you have to listen closely because you might not like what I am about to say.
