You’ve hit an upper limit.

We all do at some point. We strive for many things in life, money, success, fulfillment, and meaningful relationships. Yet, our subconscious mind can play tricks on us, limiting what we believe we can achieve.

But sometimes, it’s not just our ingrained beliefs at play.

We unconsciously place limits on ourselves, not because we want to, but because we get comfortable in our daily routines. Routines are super powerful and necessary to make progress and achieve our goals. However, there’s a catch — when we become unconscious of our habits and routines, they can turn into shackles that hold us back. We end up living predictable lives, going through the motions on autopilot.

Yet, within you, you still feel that calling.

That yearning to become more than you are now. This calling is the broader, grander version of yourself, beckoning you to break free from those unconscious limits and soar beyond the boundaries you’ve unintentionally set. And even if the auto-pilot mind has desensitized you to this yearning, you can still recognize it.

Your comfort zone is the upper limit and it speaks.

Every time you feel challenged to do something you don’t want to do, it’s speaking. When you avoid, run and hide, or shrink in the corner, it’s smacking you in the face. Take these moments as a signal from that broader you, nudging you to expand your capacity to reach higher.

Don’t shy away from it; instead, embrace it with open arms.

We are always doing one of two things in life: reaffirming the person we want to be or the one we don’t. The problem is, most of the time, we are unaware when we are doing the latter until long after we already became that person we never set out to become.

This is the cost of unchecked routines.
