Best Vacation Places for Families with Newborn Kids

Traveling with newborn kids isn’t easy. Not every tourist attraction is the best choice for your little one. You don’t want to head to an exotic destination just to find out that it is not suitable for newborns. The eagerness to enjoy and relax with your family can turn to frustration. But that doesn’t have to happen.

There are many destinations that are perfect for traveling with youngsters. You just have to find them and pick the right one. To make that process easier for you, here is a compiled list of the best vacation places for families with newborns.

1. Stockholm, Sweden

If you would like to visit a metropolis but you want to exclude cities with polluted air and no trees in sight, Stockholm is your solution.

Stockholm is known for being eco-friendly. In 2010, it was named the first European Green Capital. This was an appreciation for its long-term commitment to improving the environment. People in the city use bio-fuel, prioritize recycling, and support sustainable fashion.

Even though this is the capital of Sweden and offers all amenities typical for big cities, the climate-smart city is proud of the clean air and lots of forested areas.

There are many parks where you can take a stroll or have a picnic. The city is very baby-friendly and there are lots of activities for the whole family.

2. Zadar, Croatia

Zadar allows you to get to know the beauty of the Mediterranean without the overwhelming crowds. Croatia is famous for Dubrovnik, the city where the Games of Thrones were filmed. As beautiful as this city is, it can get too crowded. The busy streets can be too much for you and your baby.

Zadar is a great alternative if you want to meet the Mediterranean in its best form. While it is popular among tourists, it is a small city and it doesn’t get overcrowded.

Since all the party people head to the next door Zrce beach, you don’t have to worry about crazy parties bothering your little one.

The beaches are amazing, the water is clear blue, and nature is incredible. Not to mention that Zadar’s sunset is claimed to be the best in the world.

You will be able to see many families with strollers, taking a walk around the city and admiring the fortress in the old part of the town.

Croatia is a family-oriented country that honors tradition so people from this country will do their best to accommodate all your needs

3. Tuscany, Italy

While we’re talking about Europe, Italy as a vacation spot must be mentioned. Or, to be more specific, Tuscany.

You have probably heard of Tuscany, as it is famous for being called the wine country. This region features multiple amazing cities where you can spend time with your family.

The capital city Florence is home to Renaissance art and architecture. History and art lovers will have the best time here.

People’s bucket lists often feature the Leaning Tower of Pisa and this is your chance to see it in person. Besides this mysterious building, this city is a beautiful place for family trips.

“I was surprised by how family-friendly this region is. Tuscany allows for public nursing so you can roam around any city with your newborn without worrying about their feeding schedule. That meant a lot when I was there with my baby. I plan to go again as soon as the second one comes along,” shared Amanda Perry, a digital marketer at Studicus.

4. Phuket, Thailand

Thai culture puts the focus on the family which is why this may be the perfect place for a family vacation. For people who love exotic destinations, Thailand can be a dream come true.

Phuket island is the perfect getaway place for a family with a newborn. The breathtaking beaches will stun you. Moreover, your baby can enjoy the fresh air and relaxing sounds.

There are lots of family-friendly hotels who offer different activities for kids and babies. Some have babysitting services so you and your spouse can have some time for yourselves.

Besides the beautiful beaches, make sure that you visit Phuket Trickeye Museum and Baan Teelanka Upside House. Take some fun pictures for your family album and make your memories permanent.

5. Aulai, Ko Olina, Oahu, Hawaii

This is a Disney Resort and it comes as no surprise that it is designed for families with children.

There are lots of baby essentials you can use such as infant massages, pack ‘n play bassinets, and lots of toys that will occupy your baby’s attention.

Catherine McCaskey talked about her experience with traveling with a newborn. She recommended this place as the best pick. “What an experience that was! I was worried about vacationing with a newborn but this place is like a dream for such situations. Even though I didn’t expect to fully relax during that vacation, all of us had an unforgettable vacation,” said Catherine, an editor at TrustMyPaper and a proud mother of two.

Families who have more children will find this place especially convenient. Disney characters are present, as usual, so they will keep your kids busy and you can dedicate completely to your newborn.

6. Tulum, Mexico

Those of you who dream about palm trees, warm climate, and white sand beaches should consider Tulum as their destination.

Relax during your vacation on family-friendly beaches. You will forget about all the worries once you step onto this heavenly-like place.

Hotels are very considerate when it comes to families with newborns. Most of them offer to provide cribs and strollers whenever you need them.

When it comes to top places in Tulum, you simply can’t go home if you haven’t visited Sian Ka’an Biosphere and Playa Paraiso. So, make sure to put them on your list.

7. Montreal, Canada

Both moms and babies will be satisfied in this city. People from Canada are known for their hospitality so don’t expect anything less.

One of the best parts of Montreal is that it is a stroller-friendly city. You can have long walks without worrying about paths for the stroller.

The charming city will make you fall in love with it in no time. From baby-friendly restaurants to spacious parks, you will find everything you need for a nice trip with your newborn.

The popular places around the city are Jean-Talon Farmer’s Market, Clock Tower Beach, and The Botanical Gardens. Don’t miss out on visiting them.

With these suggestions, the hardest part about traveling with your newborn is to pick one of these incredible places. Each one of them is a great travel destination for a family, you just need to choose the one that is perfect for yours.
