Connecting with a loved one in Spirit can be deeply cathartic, aid in easing grief, affirm that love lives on beyond death, and help us feel more supported.

In a mediumship reading with me, we will work together to connect to your loved ones present in your life, I will share evidential mediumship insights from your loved one, and then you will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.

Mediumship is best done with an open mind, open heart, and patience. Sometimes when we have deeply missed someone its hard to hear from anyone else, this can ultimately block the connection process, so I recommend being open and listening. Sometimes loved ones come together and one may present before another, being patient, open hearted and open minded just allows the energy to flow and healing to happen.

Feeling lost, stuck, or blocked?

Have you ever felt lost, stuck, or even blocked? Perhaps as the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland would say ‘You’ve Lost Your Mucheness’ can you recall a time when you felt ‘much muchier’ than you are today? Perhaps it feels like you are half the person you used to be, or that there’s a persistent dullness to your life like something is missing. These are common feelings of having lost, misplaced, or even had your essence stolen.

Our Souls are remarkable, so much so that we have built-in mechanisms for our survival that can at times include the loss of soul for the purpose of protecting ourselves.

Does this mean we become soulless? Certainly not, a soul isn’t just one solid piece, think of it instead as an encapsulated cluster of energy, energy that can be siphoned off, left in the past, or given to others in moments of deep love and connection or sorrow. Have you ever visited somewhere or someone and before and felt as though you left your heart behind? You did in fact leave something, but it wasn’t your heart!

What are some of the common feelings we experience when we have experienced soul loss?

  • Numbness
  • Shock
  • Fear
  • Depression
  • Apathy
  • Anxiety
  • Inability to move forward or create
  • Sorrow
  • Lack of excitment
  • Lack of ability to be in the present moment
  • Feeling lonely or lack of intimacy in relationships
  • Feelings of unworthiness and incompetence

These are a few of a very long list, but most of us can identify varying times throughout life when we’ve experienced these. Sometimes we can also experience a spontaneous retrieval, perhaps in working with a catalyst like a healer or spiritual coach, a shaman, or facilitator, and other times just through life experiences when we’ve organically overcome the trauma that initiated the loss to start with., which is wonderful but can have some challenges where integration is required. Have you ever felt a time when you felt like a part of yourself was resurged or renewed? I certainly have!

What causes soul loss? According to Sandra Ingerman, a popular modern shaman, teacher, and speaker even an alarm clock that causes shock in the morning can be a cause! That blaring sound that creates a jarring feeling is enough to cause shock to the system, so of course, other situations where we feel that same shock, fear, or jarring are equally challenging.

Moments of trauma, big T and little t alike, times of great loss such as a loved one passing or ending a relationship. If you listen to people speak sometimes you hear ‘they were never the same after that day’ or ‘part of them stayed there’, these are hints of soul loss.

Life is about movement and evolution, how we can grow and dance through our days, if life doesn’t feel like that right now perhaps it is time to reclaim your whole essence once more! This is how we know when we are in a state of wholeness.

-Amanda M Dodd

In my recent weeks, I had the pleasure of taking a Shamanic Healing, Journey, and Soul Retrieval facilitator program with Guzalia Davis, a beautiful teacher, practitioner, and soul! We had the opportunity to experience sessions before learning to facilitate ourselves, and I had experienced reclaiming a part of myself that I wasn’t even aware was misplaced, some parts were deliberately taken, and those too were reclaimed. What I’ve found is that I finally feel whole, I am moving towards my goals with ease and momentum in a way that’s balanced and joyful! I had forgotten and become disconnected from this knowing/experience over time, to say that it feels life-changing is an understatement!

The whole experience reminded me that life is about movement and evolution, how we can grow and dance through our days, if life doesn’t feel like that right now perhaps it is time to reclaim your whole essence once more! This is how we know when we are in a state of wholeness. When we aren’t integrated and aligned we cannot achieve that state of being.

If you would like a consultation to help you discern if you’ve got soul loss and or would like to reclaim your full essence please reach out to me, it’s a pleasure to facilitate and witness clients reclaiming themselves!

My wholeness, your wholeness is how we create a world that is more wholesome!

Bug-Bye Spray: Make it yourself!

I had the pleasure and bliss to go on a mini-retreat this weekend, a sweet little Reiki getaway planned and well organized by Kate from Vibes in Ravenna Ohio. We took off to PA, a beautiful cabin in the woods on 66 acres of land, surrounded by nature on all sides. I can’t claim that the essential oil blend I made last minute was enough to keep the bears away as we saw a momma and baby but I didn’t come home with a single bug bite! I’m calling this a success!

I realized I had forgotten bug spray and prefer to be as natural as possible so I made this blend just before leaving, it’s in a good essential oil bottle, which is glass and tinted!

This blend has some contraindications for pregnant women and young children (5 and below I would avoid use). Keep away from pets. I also prefer not to use this blend on the skin directly as some of these oils can cause irritation and exposure to the sun can also create challenges that aren’t necessary. I sprayed it on shoes, socks, clothing, and a fine mist in the air that I walked through. It has a beautiful scent that doesn’t overpower, super calming and stress relieving too!

Here are some of my notes on this blend!

Lavender– promotes consciousness, health, love, peace, and a general sense of wellness. Emotional Balance support. Wonderful for alleviating anxiety and stress, comforting muscle aches.

Analgesic, anticoagulant, anticonvulsant, antidepressant, antifungal, antihistamine, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antimutagenic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, antitumor, cardiotonic, regenerative, and sedative.

Patchouli– Sedative and calming, reduces anxiety, influences sex, physical energy, and money. Very relaxing, and used as a mosquito repellent.

Anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiseptic, antitoxic, astringent, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, insecticidal, stimulant, and tonic.

Lemongrass– supports circulation and digestion, headache relief, and clearing infections. Supports the immune system, muscles, and bones. Gently wakes up the lymphatic system.

Analgesic, antibacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, insect-repellent, revitalizer, sedative, tonic, and vasodilator.

Contraindications: Can cause extreme skin irritation

Geranium– Creates Emotional Balance, Calming, Reduces Environmental Stress, Refreshing, Relaxing, Sedative and Tonic. Helps to relieve Jet Lag, Uterine support, reduce inflammation.

Antibacterial, Anticonvulsant, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, diuretic, insect repellent.

Contraindications: Repeated use can cause contact sensitivity

Tea Tree/ Melaleuca– Immune and respiratory system support, muscles, bones, and skin, helps burns and digestion, defend against mites and ticks. Great for infection reduction.

Analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiparasitic, strong antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, digestive, expectorant, immune stimulant, insecticidal, neurotonic, stimulant, and tissue, regenerative.

*Contraindications: Repeated use can cause contact sensitivity
*
Citronella– Uplifting floral and citrusy scent, natural pest repellent, emotionally uplifting, and stress-reducing. Skin and scalp soother and booster.

Insect Repellent, antifungal, antimicrobial.

*Contraindications: Possible skin sensitivity, Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. *

Cedar– Calming, Tension Easing, Tuberculosis support, UTI support, Great for diffusing in a Yoga class. Supports the Nervous and Respiratory systems. Eases feelings of anxiety.

Insect repellent, antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic (urinary and pulmonary), sedative, and astringent.

Contraindicated for: Not for use during pregnancy, used with caution for children aromatically, and can also have a diuretic effect when applied on the skin.

Eucalyptus– Cooling, Pain relief, fever reducer, arterial vasodilator, asthma, and bronchial support, muscle support.

Analgesic, antibacterial, anticatarrhal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, insecticidal, and expectorant.

There is a specific formula and balanced way to create essential oil blends, putting contradicting frequencies together will create just that, a clash to the experiences and no doubt nose! So when I am creating a blend it is done with care, accuracy, and a great deal of forethought and research. I adore making custom roll-on, sprays, bath salts, and more with essential oils.

What I adore about my blend is using it really feels refreshing and all-encompassing, it’s very uplifting and leaves a lasting freshness in the air that is rather super calming and supportive. At first, it’s so freshening, and then it’s just deeply calming and peace enhancing. The citrusy scent is very uplifting, followed by a feeling of being deeply grounded and present.

Here’s my recipe:

Bug Bye Spray

  • 8oz Glass Spray Bottle (Always best to use glass, especially of citrus oils are used and choose one that is tinted for essential oils)

1% Dilution (48 Drops of Essential Oils)

**Essential Oils: **

  • Lavender 10 Drops
  • Patchouli 5 Drops
  • Lemongrass 2 Drops
  • Geranium 5 Drops
  • Tea Tree/Melaleuca 5 Drops
  • Citronella 5 Drops
  • Cedar 10 Drops
  • Eucalyptus(Radiata) 5 Drops

**Preserving: **

  • Witch Hazel 1.5 Tablespoons. Just like with essential oils finding good quality and pure Witch Hazel is essential.

Keep in mind when spraying essential oils that things they come into contact with such as clothing, can be affected, I used this for camping so didn’t give thought to my clothing and was fortunate not to see any damage done. If you were using this on outdoor seating with cushions that get sun exposure it may have been a different outcome. Always spray away from the face and eyes!

Enjoy! Hope that all your outdoor adventures and family time are safe, happy, and uplifting.

If you make this blend at home send me a message and let me know how it went for you and what you like about it, comment below!

Sage, Palo Santo, and Cedar Oh My! What, When, and Why We Smudge! And is it wrong?

Smudging is the burning of a bundle of sacred herbs, in a ceremony with rituals involving clearing, healing, intention setting, and blessing. Various substances have varying metaphysical properties. Here are some common ones I know of, but did you know that there are more than 25 types of herbs/woods used to smudge with?

Here Are My Notes On Smudges

I know and have worked with these below, it is by no means extensive nor perfect, these are what I have found in my own personal research and through intuition.

Rose Petal Sage, Cedar Blue Sage, Palo Santo

Palo Santo: Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is a tree that’s native to Peru, Ecuador, and other South American countries. It grows in dry tropical forests and produces very fragrant resin. In Spanish, palo santo means “holy wood.”

For thousands of years, wood, resin, and oil have been used for medicinal purposes. It’s mainly used to treat pain and stress. It’s also said to clear negative energy.

There isn’t a lot of scientific proof behind these benefits. Nevertheless, palo santo has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries.

Let’s explore the purported benefits of palo santo, along with its forms and uses. It is known to be a mosquito repellent, have anti-inflammatory properties, and ease stress.

Cedar: Raises prayers to Creator, drives out negative energy, and invites positive in.

Rose: Known to bring love and happiness, raise the vibration.

Sage: Energy Cleansing – Removes Negative Energy – Harmonizes the Mind

Sage cleansing is the quickest way to clear out negative energy from both objects and surroundings. It is one of the oldest and most well-known herbs for energy cleansing your home. Besides removing negative energy, using sage to cleanse a home helps to neutralize the energy of the space, enhancing your intuition. This helps to relieve your worries, open your mind, clear away negative thoughts and feelings and harmonize the body by releasing the stress of your spirit.

The use of sage to cleanse a home is deeply rooted in Native American history. They used sage for many purposes, including healing, energy cleansing, removing negative energy, and ritual ceremonies. Today, Native Americans use it in sage cleansing ceremonies for those who are seeking balance and pure thoughts.

Appropriation

There is controversy about smudging that I would like to share my take on, smudging has been appropriated from indigenous communities during the New Age movements. Indigenous cultures, various tribes, and nations have varying practices of healing, cleansing, blessing, smoke ceremonies. I don’t deny this to be true, I also don’t deny the harm that comes from the appropriation of spiritual practices around the world and that there are many ways we can do better as a collective.

My personal opinion may not be a popular one, it comes from my personal experience as a Medium and Empath first and a Healer second. I first heard about smudging when I was nearly 16 years old. I had been a medium my whole life though I was only partially aware of it, it lead me to seek comfort, answers, and support in the New Age community. I began to explore various world religions, looking for where the people ‘like’ me were, the people having trouble sleeping at night due to visiting spirits and varying other presences, the people who wanted to just be “normal” but didn’t dare talk about what they were experiencing and why I hated sleepovers as a child, teen, and even into early adulthood. What I found was that the Pagan, Wiccan, and New Age community had support for me, had room, acceptance, and even a bit of celebration of me, I fit. I had a voracious appetite and quickly looked into every resource I could get my hands on, at 16 I learned about Reiki although I didn’t get attuned until near age 28! I quickly learned that engaging in spirit work, consciously or like much of my early days unconsciously could come with certain dangers. I learned that crystals, incense, oils, and talismans could help me manage and protect my energy as I frequented the local spiritual shop my small town had.

Every time I walked in I could feel a wave of peace wash over me, a clear-headed and heartedness that I had sought for myself for what felt like my whole life. I would linger in the store as long as possible just to feel the ease of my energy and wellbeing. After conquering some extreme shyness I asked the owner what it was that she used in the shop, if it was incense, perfume, candles, it didn’t matter, I was ready to bring it home. The owner took her time and sweet patience to explain to me what a smudge stick was, how it worked, and how to care for my energy on my own at home. I had long used incense, my family always seemed to enjoy particularly when I was young, I can recall my mother buying incense cones and using them after cleaning our home. So smudging didn’t feel foreign to me in the least, the only difference I saw was that the ingredients were more raw and unprocessed. What I knew was that I finally received the help I had needed.

It was through the practice of smudging that I was able to become conscious of my spiritual skills and abilities and manage them in a more boundary and healthy way.

Later in life smudging was in nearly all the pieces of training I have taken, everything from Reiki, Mediumship Development and Training, Angel Intuition and other healing practices, Meditations, Yoga Classes, and more. Each place it was taught with respect, and sacredness.

We as humans are a balance of the elements, earth, air, water, fire, and spirit. We can save other elements like metal for a different chat! So the burning of herbs, candles, incense can be found all around the world in every culture, as can cleansing with water, invoking Spirit with prayer, affirmation, intention. It may look similar or greatly different from culture to culture but these are a point of unity between each of us.

As the world changes with the advances of technology, making the ease of acquiring harder to obtain things with a simple button click on a website and changes to the collective unconscious I have to wonder about the appropriation of spiritual practices and tools. It seems like that as the internet grew so did the collective unconscious, we as people become more sensitive, more aware, and connected. It reminds me of ‘The 100th Monkey Effect’, I will share a video in case you haven’t heard of this before.

The video can be found on youtube by searching "100th Monkey Theory", the video I'm referencing is made by LaOta OfTheSun youtube channel.

My viewpoint is that we as a species are one, we are one species despite our differences, such as skin color, practices, spiritual faiths, geographic origin, and resources. As the collective unconscious is accessed and grows, the blending of practices, faiths, tools will become more frequent. When I consider individuals that practice shamanic journey, channeling, and hypnosis, practices that take us into the realms of the unconscious and we return with insights, solutions, practices given by Spirit is that in my opinion, it is a natural phenomenon. Does this mean that all appropriation is, certainly not, I don’t deny that there are individuals and groups out there appropriating for the sake of financial gain, and within those circumstances therein lies a big problem. I feel the key is to have awareness, practice grace, give credit where credit is due, and when possible financially support those cultures of whom practices have been appropriated. In my personal life where Spirit has given me ideas, insights, solutions, and tools I will hold them as sacred, and continue to practice them, just with kindness and mindfulness.

Mindful Steps We Can Take

Find alternate tools, while burning and smoke are a means of working with the elements within us, we can use other practices such as essential oil sprays, flower essences, intention, prayer, affirmation work to name a few.

I seek to grow in relationship to the herbs I use, I seed, plant, and grow them to the best of my ability, you can also try your best to find local and sustainably farmed raw ingredients for your work rather than purchasing from those who would profit from appropriation. As much as I adore Palo Santo, I use it less than other items, one because it’s not local, it’s not something I can be sure what sustainably sourced. I do have some still and I treasure it for special occasions, instead, I use what I know grows locally such as lavender, rosemary, cedar, and sage.

Honor the sacredness, and the origins of your ingredients, spiritual practices, and tools. Pay homage and respect, if you are like me and teaching others spiritual practices and tools for self-care, healing, and working with the unconscious daily do so with care and great love in your heart. Challenge your students to do their research, and find ways to give back to the cultures that pioneered great works.

Search your heart and know what you value and move forward with love and respect for yourself and others.

Something I recommend is making your own smudge bundles, it is an uplifting and sacred process that is deeply initiating, intimate, and presence growing practice!

When and Why

To create a shift in energy, when you are observing intense patterns of negative energy whether that be mentally, emotionally, physically, in your body or in a physical location, in an object and want to create clarity, stillness, connection, and peace. If you have been stuck emotionally, or mentally ruminating on something, it’s a good time to step back, get some space, and explore your options, thoughts, and feelings more objectively.

If you are empathic and have intense feelings and thoughts but don’t know where in your life they are stemming from, are asking ‘Is this mine?’ it’s time to smudge, clean the slate and become fully present. When you feel overwhelmed, it’s a good time for a smudge.

If you are struggling to have clear vision, intention, goals, and move movement, smudge!

Creating sacred space, if you are doing deep spiritual work, holding space for another or even yourself, doing deep healing then its time to smudge. Create a clean and clear foundation to work off of.

We have all been places that have that oppressive foreboding vibe to them, those dense energies have been stagnant and are in need of smudging.

Purpose of Smudging

  • Clear Energy
  • Create Clarity
  • Establish Energetic Boundary
  • Uplift Vibration of Thought, Feeling, Being
  • Release Foreign Energies (Empaths frequently absorb energy from others)
  • Invoke the Sacred/Divine
  • Repel Lower/Dense Energy
  • Release Impurities and Improve Air Quality

How

I recommend using an Abalone Shell, one because of its ability to help contain ashes and sparks, reduces the chance of accidents and messes but two because of its vibration and metaphysical properties.

Abalone Shells Nickname: Mother of Pearl

Enhance feelings of peacefulness, beauty, compassion, and love. Ease turmoil, soothe nerves and give a larger perspective in communication. Detoxifying, strength, and stamina.

Affirmation: I am beautiful and see beauty all around me

Solar Plexus, Heart, and Throat Chakras.

Lit your smudge stick and let the smoke permeate and cleanse, think of a 360-degree wafting of the smoke. Some individuals like to work with the feathers, different feathers hold different qualities and help to direct and disperse the smoke. Work from one end of a room to another, from left to right, ceiling to floor, and typically having a direction where there is an open window or door is recommended. Once done, snuff out the fire against an abalone shell, store away in included pouch and save it for later use. I frequently use glass containers, they are sustainable but also keep the strong scent and vibration of the smudges clear and separate.

Set intention, use affirmation, and/or prayer. While you are clearing your space or your person, tools, and items, make sure that you keep a strong and focused intention in mind, and hold the vibration of love in your heart.

Another thing to consider is sound, using singing, a drum, a singing bowl, tuning fork, radio can have profound effects in shifting and changing energy, I suggest it after using the smudge to raise vibration even higher, create more joy and upliftment.

Please use common sense when working with fire, smoke, and the potential dangers of flammable items around you. Keep out of reach of children, animals, and people with sensitivities like asthma.

Home Clearing, Protection, and Divine Support Invocation Spray

Clearing, Protection, and Divine Support Invocation Essential Oil Recipe

Energy is a given, it is what we are made of, it’s in our thoughts, choices, and actions. Each time we made a choice and take action we are creating energy, even something as a strong reaction can leave behind an energetic imprint in a space of that time.

What’s more, is that energy can attract like energies such as the vibration of fear or terror, it can snowball and grown in size leaving a part of our bodies and homes frozen. The term ‘Misery loves company’ comes to mind, ever notice how a person with a dulled or depressed affect can leave a conversation and spread those feelings? It’s the same with energies in our bodies and homes, places of work! I bet you’ve felt it before, walking into a room where an intense discussion or argument took place, it’s like the air is so thick it can be sliced like cheese.

Last week I had the honor of doing a Home Clearing and Blessing, it’s a service I offer as a Spiritual Celebrant and Medium. The client had significant disturbances in her home causing her loved ones to not want to visit! One of the things I encountered there was an energetic imprint in a stairway from the kitchen to the upstairs hallway. When a person stepped into the stairway they could suddenly feel their heart palpitate with anxiety and gripping fear that caused a sensation of full body panic. The sensation of difficulty breathing before even going up the stairs would occur quickly and I could feel my whole automatic nervous system engage as it was choosing between flight and fight on my walkthrough.

My client had thought this was a spirit or entity in her home, however, it was a residual imprint leftover from a high emotion conflict. As a Medium when I tapped into the energy stream I can witness history replay, I was able to see a woman running in fear, being chased by someone with ill intent. She attempted to hide at first and then began to run up the stairs already out of breath and in a panic. She made it about halfway when her assailant caught up to her and dragged her down the stair. It was a lot to take in, and while I couldn’t see how it ended, I did have a sense that the woman survived, however, the energy of the incident remained, and that’s what my client’s guests and loved ones were experiencing and re-experiencing when they used that stair.

This was a simple clean-up process! As this was not an entity or Spirit with an intelligent being it released and resolved with ease. One of the tools I used is this clearing spray. Essential oils and crystals also are energy, they contain their vibrations, such as Tigers Eye which I placed above the door frame is known for being a protective crystal due to its frequency in vibration. When thinking about frequencies and vibration, consider the emotions, how a laugh is a different measure of energetic movement than say the feeling of despair, despair is dense and slow-moving, whereas laughter and exhilaration are quick bursts of energy! By placing a crystal and using the essential oil blend I create a new frequency of energy in a space, and then what happens is likes attract likes, just like a magnetic force.

Tigers Eye Metaphysical Properties

Drawing on the powers of the sun and earth this crystal is known for being protective, centering, and grounding. It’s often associated with good luck and prosperity. Strengthens willpower, creativity, and concentration. Helps to raise vibration and kundalini energy. Courage during times of change. Disperse pride, self-criticism, and depression.

Essential oils, just like crystals have their own frequencies and vibrations, sometimes people refer to this as ‘Metaphysical Properties’.

Here are some of my notes on this blend!

Juniper– Purification, great for bringing beings of light in during meditation, and clarity/understanding and working with bringing the shadow to light. This oil is an elevator to spiritual awareness, is also a known detoxifier, astringent, cleanser, and antiseptic!

Peppermint– Used to clear barriers, actually repels some insects, freshens the air, and opens the lungs, is uplifting and calming. Stimulates alertness, is antibacterial, antiviral, and invigorating.

Sage– Purify, Enables connection to spirit, bring light beings closer, draw that ages of wisdom into our heart. Could be used as a deodorant.

Sandalwood– Joining physical and spiritual realms, and is also a huge proponent of evoking healing in the body! This oil is known to bring clarity to confusion, dispel fear, and ease exhaustion. Antidepressant, calming, balances emotions.

Halite/Salt– Creates a nice ambiance, the salt will absorb moisture in the air and gives off negative ions creating more balanced electrons. Release energy blockages, aura balancing, enhance self-confidence, release judgments, promote self-worth and eases worry. Some sources state that salt lamps help with airborne pollutants and ease breathing and breathing conditions, but I haven’t found any studies done to back that up. Salt is known to have purified properties especially with spirits and entities creating natural boundaries.

What I adore about my blend is how it works on multiple levels, not only does it cleanse and protect the physical but it works on the mental, emotional, spirit plains as well, and calls for divine help for support and clearing a way through ahead. Using it really feels refreshing and all-encompassing, it’s very uplifting and leaves a lasting freshness in the air that is rather palpable in energy! At first, it’s so freshening, and then it’s just deeply calming and peace enhancing, I feel a greater sense of ease and connection as I use it. I used it in tandem with reiki and I feel like my healing room is a safe and blessed sanctuary as a result.

I also like that it’s somewhat gender-neutral, unlike most blends that I make!

Here’s my recipe

Clearing, Protection, and Divine Support Invocation Essential Oil Recipe

8oz Glass Spray Bottle (Always best to use glass, especially of citrus oils are used and choose one that is tinted for essential oils)
1% Dilution (48 Drops of Essential Oils)

**Essential Oils: **

Juniper 13 Drops

Peppermint 6 Drops

Sage 10 Drops

Sandalwood 19 Drops

Preserving:
Witch Hazel 1.5 Tablespoons. Just like with essential oils finding good quality and pure Witch Hazel is essential.
Extras/Optional:
Salt/Halite, sea salt is my preference. I use 1 Tablespoon in an 8 oz bottle.
Crystals:
I adore using Amethyst, it represents support and divine assistance unasked for, so often we forget or just dont know that we are supported in this life and that we can ask! Other crystals can be used also like obsidian, hematite, moonstone, quartz, etc.

Amethyst Metaphysical Properties

Breaking up negativity, purifies, promotes harmony, and protects. Absorbs unwanted negative energy. Amethyst is divine help gifted for transmuting lower vibrational energies into healing. Enhances intuition and psychic abilities bring heave down to earth, fosters cooperation. Alleviates headaches and migraines, dispels nightmares, and eases insomnia. Supports emotional balance, eases anxiety and depression.

I usually begin by adding my crystals or crystal chips to the bottle, salt, and witch hazel. Then measure in my essential oils, add my filtered water, careful not to overfill, and leave room for the spray bottle (sometimes clipping the hose is needed so that it doesn’t get stick in the bottom and kink). I close the lid and gently roll it in my hands to blend. From here I have a bit of ceremony and ritual for my oils that include Reiki, empowering with the Full or New Moon depending on my goals, and more.

It’s important to know that essential oils are combustible, always keep your bottles and blends in a safe place out of direct sunlight.

If you need help figuring out dilution rate and blending you are welcome to reach out to me, I adore making custom personal blends! I am available to guide you, create for you, or deliver you quality essential oils to work with, schedule a complimentary consultation, and let’s talk more about it.
