In this single 90-minute educational/coaching sessions, we'll use the analogy of a mug to represent your ability to cope with stress in daily life. We'll get clear on how to notice when you have a "32 ounce" or a thimble?
From there, you'll learn to choose strategies that will help you recognize and manage the flow of stress into your life and help you build a larger "mug" to cope with stress on a day-to-day basis. You'll leave with a customized plan to implement immediately.
As a parent educator, coach and parent myself, I have learned the value of helping parents learn how to understand what their children need from them. My program, "The Kyokan Parenting Roadmap : Tame Tantrums with Calm Confidence", helps parents get there. With children of any age. Without learning neuroscience or developmental theories or jargon. Simple. Accessible. Real. Parenting.
The "mug" is a metaphor for your coping capacity. You'll learn how to pay attention to how much you can cope with and when you need to take care of yourself so you can handle the random stressors that will come your way in life. Hope that helps.
It's intended as a wellness program to help people develop coping skills. If you're coping with grief or a medical illness, you would benefit from working with a therapist or support group. Hope that helps!
