This is a course of action, with exercises designed to raise feelings, sensations, connection, and discomfort in a way that provides you with valuable data, should you choose to accept it. The value you get from this course will be in direct relation to how honestly – and curiously – you approach the activities, and to what extent you trust and surrender to the process.
Activities include breathwork, therapeutic writing, movement, meditation, journal prompts, exploring archetypes and embodiment, creative elements, interactive practices, and more.
One PDF walks you through 30 days of experiential exercises, with simple explanations and direction as needed. This heuristic approach to learning can be supplemented by confidential 1:1 sessions with me if you prefer more specific guidance (see services). Materials can be revisited continually once you’ve completed the course — there are always new inner discoveries to be made.
• 15 minutes a day (minimum) for 30 days, self-paced. Some days call for more, and you can go longer as desired.
• Willingness to trust the process, be wrong about what you think, own who you are, and have happy, fulfilling relationships and experiences.
Your course manual will be emailed to you on registration. The course itself is self-paced and experiential. More details on my website.
I’m a shadow work facilitator and transformational mentor in Vancouver BC and online. I offer 1:1 shadow work and a weekly group, as well as Conscious Relationship Trainings founded by P.T. Mistlberger. I have a gift for translating woo-woo into practical terms, for Radical Acceptance — of myself, of you, of whatever's arising right now — and for making inner work (absurdly) experiential and fun.
Sorry for the delay, I didn't get a notification for some reason. Shadow work is an "encounter" therapy -- conversations and activities designed to cause encounters with aspects of yourself. Typically aspects which have been rejected and need to be integrated for healthy connection in life and relationships.
I have a number of methods that vary depending on the context and the people -- the course is mostly solo activities, including some out in the world. There's also a small online community growing, of people taking the course, where you can ask questions (of me), get reflections from others doing this work, and connect.
Sorry for the delay - I didn't get a notification for some reason.
I appreciate your pain about the loss of your grandma. My grandma died a year and a half ago, and I feel you.
The course won't alleviate pain exactly, but it will give you a framework in which to consciously explore your thoughts thoughts feelings about matters that affect your life. Grandma, and loss, and existential uncertainty will be woven into so many of your thought-feelings -- a conscious exploration of the inner world overall is more fulsomely helpful than targeting one specific pain point.
You might also find comfort in some of my self-regulation meditations (free on my youtube, link in IG bio).
Hello! Could you tell me more about your methods? I've never heard about Shadow Work and would like to learn more. Thank you very much!
I have lost my grandma last year. I can't get through the pain. Can your course help me relieve it?
