When first discovered Covid 19 variant portrayed as a nightmare; many blamed on the recklessness of humans, who instead of preparing for such a disastrous situation, were bent on making missiles and defense systems; Others saw it as a consequence of our sins; while many others turned it into a purely political topic to lash out at each other.

Regardless, it wreaked havoc at both the global and national levels.

Soon after in an unprecedented short time-span, vaccines were developed and people rushed to get vaccinated.
Amid the fast development of vaccines, rumors also spread fast against them.

It was said that some vaccines caused blood to clot in the body leading to deadly issues like heart attack, and paralysis.

Others said that covid vaccine was a propaganda by America to actually inject a micro-chip into people’s bodies to track their movement, allowing America to target those working against it.

Further rumours included that vaccinated people would die within the next two years. On this, people made memes like what would nonvaccinated people do because they would be fewer in numbers in the world as most of the vaccinated people would die in the next two years.

Rumours also included that the covid vaccine was a western propaganda to cause erectile disfunction in men and infertility in women to control the population in Asia and Africa. In my region, people were reluctant to get vaccine for they might face sexual problems afterwards. They were stuck in a poor situation because the government made it compulsory for everyone to get covid vaccine otherwise these people would be deprived of much of the government facilities like financial help or permission for movement to other cities or entry into any institution.

I've already had COVID-19 so I don't need to get the vaccine. Such was also the concept of people who got covid positive. Resultantly, these people would go to markets without precautionary measures, without masks and without getting any covid vaccine for the next six months. This also caused confusion among many.

In summary, the Covid-19 variant created fear and chaos, but vaccines provided hope. Rumors and conspiracy theories about vaccines circulated rapidly, causing confusion and skepticism. It is crucial to trust in the science behind the vaccines, get vaccinated, and work towards eradicating the virus.
