I am currently a self-employed freelance writer, editor, herbal consultant and reader, among many other things. I go where needed & do what needs to be done. I often give my time and efforts without compensation. For me, experience is the best gain.

I am the Founder of Mojo Mountain Medicine, good for what ails you since 1990, and the Union of Mad Scientists, Telling it Like It Is and sometimes Singing It Like It Is since 1987.

I do feel compelled to say now that I am not responsible for anyone's actions & I don't claim to be any more expert on this crazy thing called life than anyone else. I offer keen insight, choosing what to do with it is up to the individual, as is accountability for whatever it is.

Sometimes, what you're meant to do finds you, that's the case with many of my pursuits. As it turns out, I have many gifts. One point of focus for me is that I aim to put the "self" back into "self-help." Helping people to feel self-empowered rather than self-medicated is one of many goals.

There's no book or program for sale here since no two people are the same. What works for one person, may not work for another. There is no "magic bullet" pill, no "one size fits all" program, and there are no conveniently labeled boxes to be stuffed into. My education is wide and varied from apprenticeships to clinical internships to having my own herbal practice out of my home.

What is now happening in the field of mental health, I saw coming, it's why I bailed on going into clinical psychology, which had been my plan in college, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to help. Now, I'm here to help people recover from traditional clinical psychology and psychiatry, at least for the people it doesn't work for.

I've helped build, lived in & learned from many communities while traveling the United States extensively. My input has been fundamental time & again in myriad situations of keeping peace and raising spirits as well as offering counsel and mediation for people from a variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.

I offer insight to gain self-empowerment. I'm a Master Herbalist and I've been at it a long time. I'm not for everyone but you'll never know if I can help you unless you reach out, it doesn't cost a thing.
